In the wake of cafe’s throwing out (or not) customers with particularly disruptive children, it appears some establishments have found another way to deal with the problem of families enjoying some time away from home.

    would never work. ‘well behaved’ is too subjective. I would prefer to see the term ‘quiet kids’ because it’s the noise pollution that is generated by these little shitters that pisses punters off

    I think it should be the other way around, if your shits are making a big noise charge a hefty surcharge.

    It should be expected that your kids behave.

      I agree. “Good behaviour” is expected to be the default behaviour. Parents of noisy children should get a surcharge – no ifs, no buts. By dining in that place, they accept all conditions imposed by it.

        The real risk is that you’ll give the rude parents are new string in their bow. Not only will they tell you that you’re being selfish not sitting there meekly accepting their noisy unruly shits ruining your coffee etc, but now they can say “so what we’re paying for this”, further entrenching their divine right mentality.
