So who are the notorious bloggers then?

A mate is at Starship at the moment with his boy. He was checking some blogs but ran into some bother with the free wi-fi…seems they are blocking some of the worst sites in the country.

Whaleoil is obviously part of an ADHB approved patient recovery programme…I might have to put “Approved by Auckland DHB in my header”.

I can think of no better endorsement than Starship. Well done.

It seems for once, Telecom has got something right. Congratulations of their blocking of the standard, they are now living up to their nickname, stranded up shit creek without Telecom.

Maybe it’s because the standards is so politically overt and motivated. eg their are no “obligatory orca” posts, no “mental health break” posts, “picture of the day”, face of the day”, “daily proverb”…better say etc here as the list is long.

That’s odd, I regularly use the Auckland Hospital Wi-Fi (free for one hour) to fill in time and have never been blocked, although it can be a bit slow to load (I haven’t tried the Stranded though, I just glance at PG’s daily summaries :) ). If I exceed the hour I just switch to 2degrees 3G without any problems.

Interesting. Hope your mate’s child becomes well.

You know it. (still do not own a computer, or a cell phone though). Still, UFB has been laid to me door now; *sigh* Ha ha ha ha. Be good!

  • Mr_Blobby

I would complain, you are obviously being discriminated against. Then again, there is the public health to think about, if you are sick in hospital. The last thing you would want is a good dose of the Stranded to make you feel physically sick.

Depends on political viewpoint. I am sure Trevor Mallard, Gordon Campbell, ‘Bomber’ Bradbury, etc would cheer up and get better quicker by reading The Standard. Chris Trotter should not however, I think it would make him sick.

      • Mr_Blobby

Possibly but “bomber” Bradbury should be in a straight jacket and in a padded cell.

And they say the health system is rooted?? Good one – That’s a gem
