Pagani is absolutely wrong regarding sacking of judges. We shouldn’t protect the judiciary absolutely if they keep on fucking up on sentencing… they aren’t a protected species and neither should they be. As usual, the Chief Justice continues to ignore the poor quality of judges out there and continues to still draw one of the highest public wages in NZ – who is holding her to account? Nobody, because the bitch can’t be fired. It’s a farce, it’s a sham and i’d suggest most have had a fucking gutsful of these yellow-bellied judges.

  There should be an annual review by an independent body and a five year contract.
  But remember who becomes judges – would a QC making $1 m pa step down to a fraction of that sum? So it is generally the weaker partners who are put forward. Like Kiwis migrating to Aus it improves the quality on both sides.
