  • Orange

Boom! Oh yeah. Well said Collins.

  • sheppy

Wonder if she can be persuaded to run for Auckland Mayor?

  • cows4me

Oh Dear poor boom boom, that will go down like a shower of shit.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706456651 Nigel Sherrie Fairweather-Hunt

There goes that surge of waleoilarmy pride again….

  • Lion_ess

    All credit to you Cameron.

  • StacyMcNaught

This twitter thing may just take off, perhaps I should join, there is some funny shit on it…

  • johnbronkhorst

Take on Judith at your peril….ask a certain duck and little man.

  • Richard McGrath

Credit given where it’s due. Keep up the good work Cam.

    • Travis Poulson

No offence, but every time I see your name I picture a country singer.

      • RightOfGenghis

and I bet they called you Randy at school ;)

        • Travis Poulson

Well didn’t I walk into that one. But yes, once or twice, and not to forget Travis Tritt.

          • Lion_ess

Yep, walked right into that. Travis Tritt – who??

          • RightOfGenghis

unfortunate surname, brings out the poet in me ;)

          • Travis Poulson

Nobody, nothing, forget it. Nothing to see here folks, move along….

          • Lion_ess

Well actually, I looked him up and I can see that he (apparently) does that “blue-eyed soul thing”, whatever that is, and, “You never take me dancing” is a bit of a hit in certain circles. He has bluesy “moans” with a sprinkle of southern gospel, and um I think you’re right – move along folks, nothing to see here.

  • Orange

I want the T-shirt of this

    • Tom

      +1

  • steve and monique

Collins for future PM.Knows a good thing when she see’s it.

  • Travis Poulson

Rather see her running the country than this hell hole of a city.

    • sheppy

True, but was thinking until JK has had enough. Watching her sort out the wasters on Auckland council would be a fine thing

      • Tom

        Big hammer, small nail.

        • Lion_ess

Not so small nail – 8000 employees / $3B budget, largest council in Australasia.

          • NotForTurning

And there’s nothing Collins (or Ruth, or Thatcher) could be better than getting it down to 100 “employees” and say a $20M budget.

          • Lion_ess

You’re being a bit optimistic (unrealistic) there, but certainly trimming Councils down to essential services and removing the Maori Statutory Board and other racist based policies would be a great start.

          • Lion_ess

Oh, get rid of the tree huggers on private land as well. Councils should manage the trees on public land – not private land.

          • NotForTurning

Depends how much you sell. Is there really anything that needs to be done by a council that cannot be done cheaper and better in the private sector?

          • Lion_ess

Show me a model where ratepayer services are fully privatised and work better? You know, the interesting thing is, is that Councils outsource most work to private businesses anyway, it’s just that they need 1000 dickheads to write and manage the contracts.

          • Lion_ess

I can say that some Councils used to outsource consent inspections – think leak homes – they were no better than employees standing at the gate and giving something the nod.

          • sheppy

Was thinking one term with Collins at Auckland, then she returns to Parliament in time to run for PM, hopefully by then Auckland Council would be all sorted with plenty of limitations imposed on her successors to prevent the wastefulness returning.

          • Tom

            Spot on!

      • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

2014 – Naked Emperor is done and dusted sheppy. Sheepy will be in power by then

    • Lion_ess

I thought that too, initially, but after some consideration I’m warming to the idea.

      • Travis Poulson

I would too, but I’d rather she stayed put for the time being.

        • Lion_ess

Would you prefer another 3 years of Len, or break the cycle early so he does not become a habit.

          • Travis Poulson

And there in lies the problem. Would I rather she stayed to be a potential Prime Minister or leave and have a stab at becoming mayor of Auckland city. Given I don’t plan to stay here forever I think I’ll go for option A ;)

          • NotForTurning

I’d rather Len jailed along with all the other communists, unionism banned, and the franchise restored only to those who deserve it.

    • NotForTurning

No reason why she can’t do both…

  • LesleyNZ

    Amen! A Thatcherite moment!

  • LesleyNZ

    Who is Conor Whitten?

  • WayneO

This lady needs to be PM.

    • http://www.whaleoil.co.nz/ Petal

I would follow her anywhere. (Warn her husband, and get a restraining order drafted)

      • Travis Poulson

Maybe you should put in a request to the GCSB to see your file, I’m sure you’re one of the 88.

        • http://www.whaleoil.co.nz/ Petal

Keith Locke and me, we’re brothers.

      • WayneO

I can understand that point of view. She’s an intelligent, well spoken, powerful lady. Perhaps she has single daughters….

  • Dion

Having an opinion is wrong, now is it?

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706456651 Nigel Sherrie Fairweather-Hunt

um….could take that both ways…. would you care to…expaaaaaaand?

      • Dion

Yeah – I was on the pro Crusher side of the argument.

That’ll teach me for writing stupid stuff and then walking away for two days.

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706456651 Nigel Sherrie Fairweather-Hunt

          ahhh funny. thought so!!

    • Travis Poulson

who was saying having an opinion is wrong? Nobody. Are 2 people not allowed to disagree with each other without having someone else put a silly politically correct left wing label put on it? Some people (you) read into things too much.

      • Dion

I was having a go at Conor Whitten’s last tweet.

I can’t believe everyone on here has mistaken me for a raging, bearded leftie :p

        • Travis Poulson

In our defence, you left it open to interpretation either way :)

          • Dion

            Yeah – point taken :-)

    • NotForTurning

Having the wrong opinion is wrong!

  • Saccharomyces

So proud to have Judith Collins as my electorate MP. My ex used to deal with her in a business capacity and had a huge degree of respect for her… Both strong, educated intelligent women. Gotta be future National party leader material right there.

And right on about WO’s cred, nice to get props from the top there!

  • http://twitter.com/BiGdAdDyNz David Wedde

    She’s awesome!

  • CJA

She really should have added a “Suck it” and a DX crotch chop at the end for good measure.
