Referendum failure: Russel Norman delays purchase of new car

Russel had intended to celebrate the news that the Asset Sale Referendum was “on” by getting a “Green Appropriate” new car.  One that he could use right into the election, and of course, continue to drive as Finance Minister.

So it is all up to you now.  Make sure you sign the petition to get the Greens over the 16,500 mark so that Russel can finally celebrate!

A waste of taxpayers money is how the Prime Minister’s describing the failed anti-asset sales petition. Over 390,000 signatures were gathered by the Keep Our Assets coalition to try to force a referendum on the issue. But over 100,000 signatures have been deemed invalid for various reasons, including people signing the petition more than once.

John Key says opposition parties should hang their heads in shame.

“We now know 101,000 of those signatures were false, fake, not real. Well, if they’re not trying to con the New Zealand public, what were they trying to do?”

Organisers now have two months to get 16,500 valid signatures to force the referendum. Greens co-leader Russel Norman admits it’s disappointing, but insists it won’t stop the fight against the Government’s plans.

“The Prime Minister’s gleeful because he represents those that have lots
of money, whereas we represent ordinary New Zealanders who are opposed
    to privatisation.”

      Can’t sleep SCS?

I like tens of thousands of Kiwis am looking forward to possibly hearing today about how many shares I am going to get for my investment in our country’s future. Hopefully it will provide me with a better return on a term deposit in a foreign-owned bank and at the same time contribute towards better health and education infrastructure for our future generations. I will never forgive labour and the greens for their cynical efforts to sabotage this initiative purely for their own perceived political gain. Experts have calculated that up to $400 million has been lost to NZ Inc by their actions – how many schools or hospitals would that money have bought or how many doctors, nurses or teachers trained? Shearer & Norman can rot in hell as far as I’m concerned.

There is not a word of this fiasco on a Fairfax site. They have now proven that they are so far left, they are untrustworthy. I will furnish details of a site being created for those who wish to register their disapproval of this Fairfax branch of Labour/Greens, by being able to see who their major advertisers are, then when they are making substantial purchases, make sure they don’t support them. This will surely help the management do something about the unionised rabble that are sifting through news items and feeding us shit.

Ian, senior management is part of it as well. Seen any editorials lately bemoaning this loss of funding? Imagine the ructions if Bill English announced in the Budget that health and education expenditure was to be cut by $400 mill!!
