Oh noes…I attack unions

David Fisher just loves to write about me, if he isn’t tweeting he is pouring over my blog. Today he gets a two-fer…two stories about me.

The second one is about my love for unions…on page 5.

A political strategist who has trained National Party MPs says the Ports of Auckland colluded with right wing bloggers to undermine industrial action against the Ports of Auckland.

The claim is in a leaked document written by controversial strategist Simon Lusk – and hotly denied by the publicly-owned port company.

The document was dated February 2012 – when the port strike was most heated – and is part of Mr Lusk’s strategy for the National Party.

It read: “The right currently controls the blogosphere, and the political journalists repeat much of what appears on blogs.

“The case in point is the way the Maritime Union have received huge negative publicity about their salaries, based on POAL (Ports of Auckland Limited) working with certain bloggers to control the story. Financial support for these bloggers will enable them to build their credibility and readership.”

It is rightly denied by the Ports of Auckland, I have no idea who leaked me the documents, and if I did I still wouldn’t say. There was certainly no collusion with the Ports, in fact I’d have to say they were less than helpful in many respects, except for access for some interviews.

Ports of Auckland adviser Brent Impey said there was no collusion with any blogger, including the Whaleoil blog. He said Mr Slater had been granted access to the port “no different from any other journalist”.

“Anyone who rings up who is going to be publishing, you give them the time of day.”

And they did. It gave me an insight into the goings on at the Port and conditions the Maritime Union were telling the public were dreadful when in fact it was one of the best work facilities for staff I have ever seen.

He said the port did not know how the information was leaked. “We have carried out as much investigation as we can to find out how that information got out there. We have tightened systems since.”

And I have no idea who leaked it, but leak it they did. What is funny is David Fisher is writing a “shock, horror, Ports leaked documents” story based on leaked documents from another source…what a dick. But no more of a dick than Helen Kelly…I’ll talk about her in a separate post.

Unions assume a “righteous” stance, so in assuming that stance they need to make sure their shit is in order. If the Owl has shown us anything, the shit is not in order and WO has shown us that unions are far from righteous.

    Keep up the good fight.

What Simon Lusk said is correct..’The right currently controls the blogosphere, and the political journalists repeat much of what appears on blogs.’ In fact, I think they would be doing NZ as a whole a favour if they actually repeated a bit more than they do. DF you are all about smoke and mirrors. WO and Simon have done nothing wrong other than to speak the truth – and they did it for free!

Given the MSM’s totally left wing bias I’d say WhaleOil is an essential blog to go some way towards regressing the balance. This article just confirms that and hopefully will lead to more enlightened souls visiting the blog and then recognising the MSM for what it is.

Unions attack the right of businesses to make money and provide jobs. They do a hell of a lot more damage to NZ than this blog does. Can we get a sense of perspective on it please?

Perhaps the reporters at the herald should go on strike for months and lose millions of dollars in revenue for the company including major advertisers. Lets see how much DFisher likes being on the receiving end of it. Wait dont forget to treat the non unionised workers like shit, threaten them violence, name and shame them on a facebook group and piss over the areas that are used to prepare their food. Going too far? Not for MUNZ.

Fisher should stick to the only thing he is any good at, felating german sausage.

“A political strategist who has trained National Party MPs says the Ports of Auckland colluded with right wing bloggers to undermine industrial action against the Ports of Auckland.” so this is what they say instead of understanding that NOBODY agrees with you?

    • Agent BallSack

And also JBH, if so, Sooooooooooo Fucking What? MUNZ fed the standard and that other trash left blog that the rat jumped off with union releases. But cry like pussy whipped bitches that someone MAY have done the same.

It just couldn’t have occurred. What is wrong with some people!

They got this quote wrong “The right currently controls the blogosphere, and the political journalists repeat much of what appears on blogs.”

It should really read “The right currently controls the blogosphere, this is solely due to political journalists repeating much of what appears on ‘red alert’ and ‘the standard’ blogs which has led many New Zealanders to seek out the latest political news from non-traditional sources.”

I especially loved the bit about hating them so much, that you do it for free! Had myself a good chuckle over that
