The best Labour can do for Christmas

A reader emails:

Labour have been sending begging letters to their local electorate members, asking for donations. I was shown one from Moira Coatsworth.

At this time of the year, when the typical Labour supporter is struggling to pay for the expenses of Christmas, it is a hell of a cheek for some beltway person in their Head Office to try to sponge money from the rank and file.

Also, attached is an emailed notice which urges members to make a ridiculous attempt to¬† flood John Key’s email box.

Who thinks up this rubbish? How much do they get paid? Have they ever heard of filters, junk mail settings etc?

Is this the best bright minds can come up with in opposition?

God knows how they would run a government!

It reads more like a Greens mailer to me. Who wrote it? Clint?
    .
I like the little dig about JK heading off on holiday. I wonder where Cunners is heading. You can bet your bottom dollar that he won’t be joining the working classes at a caravan park. Matarangi, Pauanui, Omaha maybe? Where do the monied people of St Mary’s Bay favour?

    • Adam Michaels

Yes, the policies referred to could have been lifted from a Green Party publication- they seem familiar!

    • Mdj

Cunliffe camping in the Nelson area. JK holidaying in Hawaii. Man I know what I’d choose..

      • Honcho

Camping? that’s for the plebs, cunliffe will be living in the style he has become accustomed to in a multimillion dollar holiday home in little kaiteriteri or similar.

      • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Please note that Cunners is contributing to NZ economy while Key is spending money in USA. Matt McCarten is asking people to think hard about this…..

    • Bob Murphy

Didn’t see Cunners on TV last night doing serving duty at the City Mission’s feed the 5000 thing testerday.

  • Col

Bloody hell they are losing the plot big time, now that alone is why you wouldn’t vote for them. Have they got any policies yet?

    • Adam Michaels

No- at least not of their own making- there appears to be some of the Greens’ policies in the email shown above. Other policies must be awaiting manufacture.
Check back in the New Year. Later in the New Year. Much later….say March, maybe April. Hell, October might be the best time.

      • OneTrack

You wont see their real policies until they are the government. Everybody loves surprises.

    • MrLastMinute

Maybe Santa brought Cunners some policies last night – he’s checking under the tree as we speak.

  • rockape

Goeff and the Labour team need to remember one simple fact. “Its about the economy stupid”

    • AnonWgtn

      Who is Geoff ?
      Is he somebody relevant. ?

      • Adam Michaels

I am not sure if I found the right one- he is Geoff Hayward and I think he was at Victoria Uni and involved with Young Labour. I assume that he is now within the confines of Fraser House.

  • Harry B’Stard

    Arse wipes

  • GregM

    *Yawn*
Once again it’s all John Keys fault, and once again they are offering no alternative policies. Numpties.

    • ex-JAFA

He’s a very busy man. Dozens of MPs, hundreds of thousands of professional civil servants, and yet he still single-handedly runs the country – and does it so well that nobody can think of any alternatives to suggest.

      • Adam Michaels

That’s what happens when a party plays the man.Labour spend so much time talking about John Key that they haven’t the energy left to suggest alternatives.

    • PsychoKea

I wonder if Thumbhead would pledge his PM salary to charity as John Key does !

      • Cowgirl

He wouldn’t be able to afford it as no one in Labour is very good with money…

  • caochladh

It’s meant to be the season of goodwill isn’t it? By continuously playing the man and not the ball, they have lost their way and I would say a lot of support with it.

  • peterwn

“…. about the things we all care about” – since Labour is preaching to the converted, John can safely ignore this. This is what probably gets Labour so hopping mad and then they claim John is not listening to the people.

  • Pete

“out of touch” “massive no vote” !!
If Labour think JK is out of touch, they need to check the last set of poll results.
You Labour fools, you have no idea eh!

  • StacyMcNaught

Bugger me, it amazes me that a majority of the lefties can even walk without tripping over their bottom lips such is their level of doom and gloom.

  • Cowgirl

Overuse of the word ‘massive’ – clearly they don’t think their own voters can think for themselves

    • ex-JAFA

They don’t want to run the risk of people thinking for themselves. That tends to reduce their support substantially.

    • Betty Swallocks

… you may have hit the nail on the head there. They can’t.

  • Ronnie Chow

That Labor propaganda is straight out of Mao’s handbook .

The quote “He”ll be hoping that over the holiday’s the public forget his “I know best” attitude” is very close to being defamatory .

    • Bryan

well he was trained for three years by them so its only bearing fruit and pretty rotten communist fruit

    • Bob Murphy

Ronnie, we spell it Labour this side of the Tasman.

  • Steve (North Shore)

Liabour have the brainpower and the attention span of a goldfish

    • ex-JAFA

The Gweens are the same, except their goldfish has rolled onto its side.

  • timemagazine

Is it now the voters helping the politicians on the left? Isn’t it supposed to be the other way round?

  • Liberty

    What an envious little bitch.

JK takes his family to the family Bach for Christmas

Good on him. He has worked bloody hard and is entitled

to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Away from sad sacks such Moira Coatsworth and her ilk.

    • AnonWgtn

I really do not think that JK gives a f..k, about, or who Coatsworth is, or represents.
He appear to be tired and like all of us in the circumstances needs to recharge his batteries with his family.

  • John

The really worrying thing for New Zealand is that people actually vote for them! I kid you not.

    • Nothelen

And they will again, nothing surer.

The problem DC now has is that things are not all that rosy in a city of over 1 million people. That is a lot of voters..
John Key and co must be hoping that Len can keep his death roll going for many more months yet.
Forget the AC, that is old news…. we can all see what is going on there.

Len is a dead man walking and the stench is spreading all over the show.
DC and his cohorts are going to have real troubles ridding rid of it and they really can’t afford to go into an election campaign with such ‘baggage’. There is more to come, Len knows that, DC knows that, – but it is going to be Russel that will end up laying down the law.
The Greens need to be in Govt, they are impotent outside.
Now that they have a scent of victory, they have realised it is tainted with the stench of a corpse as well. The steamroller will be out…. with the front end digger.
Labour have no choice but to listen to their ‘partner’..
The question is, who else apart from Len is going to be rolled ?

      • AnonWgtn

I assume that Goff has cleared his office over Christmas, to take over Auckland City from Acting Mayor Penny Hulse.
In Labour parliamentary terms he has outweighed his usefulness.
He will be good to follow Brown as they are both Liars.

  • RightOfGenghis

An absolute master stroke by the leftards. JK will be shitting his pants when he gets attacked by all those angry electrons!

    • Naki man

Cuntlips was promoting this Christmas card crap on the Standard last night
The standard needs a few visitors from W/O to tear them a new arse hole

      • Adam Michaels

Would we be allowed to say anything?

      • Adam Michaels

I took a leaf from your book and just left a comment on The Standard to see what happens….(it is waiting moderation)

  • Rick H

Said “reader” made a grave error in his second to last sentence.
the word “bright” does not belong there.

    • Adam Michaels

We could come up with a number of alternative adjectives….LOL

  • niggly

Way to go Labour and David Cuntlife – more propaganda, lies, bullshit and negativity.

No wonder I gave up voting for those Losers years ago and thankfully never ever will again thanks to seeing the light.
