Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Whaleoil continues to be the go-to place for journalists in search of ideas and¬†inspiration. Before the hack most were professional enough to acknowledge the source, citing Cameron Slater or the blog Whaleoil but then it became ” a blog ” and finally radio silence descended.

Orders had come from on high to be seen to have nothing to do with us, so for a time the weary journalists had to turn to twitter and facebook for ‘ inspiration.’ Enough time has passed now and old habits die hard.

Thanks ” A newspaper. ” I’m sincerely flattered.

Calling them a “news” paper is pretty flattering

I used to read the herald online and check out the sideswipe piece and it was amazing how often the daily roundup would feature something and then a couple of days later it would be in sideswipe.

“used to” Andy – hope you have fully recovered from the brainwashing that publication dishes up daily. An inspiration to others wishing to see the world as it really is!

No doubt they will eventually report that we are all racist.
But unlike the poll here, where we found it it was either rigged or fraudelen, a newspaper will no doubt report it as “fact” and a squashplayer will be vindicated.
