  • Sally

    Well that is pretty spot

    The Ocean
You are a peaceful and calm person who is deeply connected to the beauties of nature. And that is why your mind goes to the ocean when you need to feel safe and comforted.

Although not often keen on being in the sea, loathing sunbathing on a beach or beach resorts, I do like the calm the sea can give and long solitary walks along a beach is good for the soul.
Often when I can’t sleep, I imagine calm peaceful water. Maybe it is time to investigate living on a houseboat.

Snap, I crewed on a coastal tug in my early teens. Something about doing 4knots, towing a barge, and the Dolphins just appear, and start ducking and diving around the boat. Was too young to be scared, but experienced some big swells and rough weather. Very enjoyable walks around Mt Maunganui now.

    • hookerphil

Same again, my favourite park up with camper van is near water, love when just a few feet from the ocean and love listening to the sounds of the ocean.
Have done some diving, loved it most when could just hang about and look, not interested in the hunting side.

  • Nige.

    Apparently I’m a baby.

    • Sally

Nothing wrong with being a baby, at least you not a mummy’s boy. Oh wait, want is baby boy……

  • Cadwallader

This quiz missed me: My safe space is expressing opinions at WO. (It is safer than some other sites I have heard of but won’t dare visit.)

    • Nige.

With a bit more therapy….we think you’ll be ok.

      • Cadwallader

Send me Bruce for a week or so, he’d understand!

  • Miss McGerkinshaw

I’m My Childhood Bedroom?! Suppose I did (and do) feel safe in my bedroom, in fact used to lock myself in there until mum took away the key but the sounds of laughter, etc – um not so sure.

You are a very warm and nostalgic person who is connected to their roots and their family. And that is why your mind goes back to your childhood bedroom when you need to feel safe and comforted.

The sounds of laughter, the beeps of your favorite toy, and your mother’s voice. You are transported to a simpler time in your life when you were always happy and comfortable. Nostalgia for those good times is what you most connect to when you need solace. Quiet the noise in your mind, and imagine your warm bed and the way that heavy blanket made you feel safe and snuggly.

  • Your Childhood Bedroom.

    • Kopua Cowboy

Me too. Load of nonsense, the amount of lego on the floor made the place lethal

    • D.Dave

Ditto, apparently I yearn for a time that was a little simpler than today. Whereas, in reality, I would rather be with a couple of mates, in a warm back country hut, without modern communications

  • JEL51

I don’t mean to Offend but I am reluctant to even venture near this one as ‘Safe Space’ is a construct of the humanities/social science propaganda wings of today’s Universities.
Those of us who know their own mind, can think independently, certain of their direction, have the want & ability to seek out the truth, able to stand alone, really have no need to feel threatened by anything other than the ignorance of others (the Left).
Pleased to be able to stand-down on this one.
    Edit:remove s

    • Duchess of Pork

That’s quite true J, but this is a bit of Saturday morning fun, it’s short and you don’t have to give away your email address to get the results. All positives to me.

  • Eiselmann

The people who believe this stuff, vote and drive…scary.

You are a strong and spirited person who is very connected to beauty and
creativity. And that is why your mind goes to the starry sky when you
need to feel safe and comforted.

There are no sounds other than
the whipping of air past your ears as you soar through the speckled
twinkling beauty of the starry sky. You are transported to a cosmic
beauty which you alone can enjoy. Beauty and power are what you most
connect to when you seek solace, and as you feel yourself cutting
through the sky you are soothed. Quiet the noise in your mind and
imagine experiencing the wonders of this galaxy face to face, touching a
star, and beholding all the magnificence that this world has to offer.

    • Korau

My Soul Mate! I got the same message.

    • KiwiLliz

Snap! But that’s not me. The first sentence sounds a lot like me, have to admit. However from there on it’s all just codswallop ;-) All good fun … just as long as you don’t take it seriously. Thanks SB … I quite enjoy these little quizthings you find.

  • Rick H

    Soaring through the starry sky.

Can’t be right. I’d rather be up in the hills camped by a small stream

    • Wasapilot

Me too. I used to work in the sky and yes, I found it a safe place.

      • Jude

        Ditto for me too!

    • Dumrse

I’m with you….. on both comments.

  • Duchess of Pork

Evidently there are people who are unsure whether or not they daydream. And others who sleep in bizarre positions. Who knew. This Floating Cloud really must get out more.

  • cows4me

Apparently a rain forest, well I’m stiff out of luck there.

  • Sticktotheknitting

Soaring through the starry sky. Utter tosh, not good to hear just before boarding a plane to Sydney on Monday. Sad sad fools who believe this muck.

  • Boondecker

An Amazonian Rainforest. What does that mean?

  • James Howlett

I regard the world as my own personal safe space. This means accepting a few bumps and bruises but I wouldn’t want it any other way.
