Face of the Day

Meet Mohamed Hassan, a Muslim from South Auckland.   Mohamed Works at Radio New Zealand as a “digital producer”.

I bet you dollars to knobs of goat poo that Mohamed has some association with the Manukau based Mosque that Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib is involved with.

He has started to hit back on Twitter:

And so the fight starts.

Whaleoil put up a reasoned argument that Muslim immigration as seen in Belgium, Sweden and other European countries will lead to problems that those countries are experiencing.

Whaleoil suggested it is solved by appropriate and balanced immigration.

And Mo here is trying to pitch that as Hate Speech against Muslims.

Simply posing the question:  “How can we protect New Zealand from the problems in France, Belgium and Sweden”, is apparently hateful.

The real questions are:

  • Why hasn’t Mohamed Hassan brought Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib to the public’s attention?
  • Why has Radio New Zealand not looked into Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib?
  • Why has it taken a blog to do the job of a well resourced media organisation?

To be clear Mo, this blog has highlighted an issue surrounding Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib.  And it is you that is now trying to make it against all Muslims.   You’d probably not like it, but we are on extremely good terms with quite a few Muslims.  We just don’t like the ones that say that anyone that isn’t Muslim isn’t a fully functional and worthy human being, and women are to stay at home and do what they’re told.

Granted, that’s shared by some people in Family First and the old Conservative party, but then I don’t care for them much either.

What happened and is happening in Europe is undeniable.  Muslim radicalisation is undeniable.

Discussing how to prevent these problems from becoming New Zealand problems is entirely sensible.

Oh, and do your job by addressing the real problem instead of trying to vilify the messenger.
