As we covered earlier it appears that the Maori and Mana parties are attempting a reconciliation.
It does raise a question, though. Will Tuku shaft Winston again?
Tuku Morgan of underpants fame shafted Winston Peters in the 1999’s. He now might do it again by taking Maori seats off Labour and providing National a coalition partner other than NZ First.
The Māori Party executive will meet Mana Party Leader Hone Harawira, after the two parties put their differences behind them in July.
Mr Harawira said today’s meeting was a follow up to a previous meeting where he and Māori Party president Tukoroirangi Morgan talked about the “unification” of the Māori parties.
Labour MPs will be seriously threatened by a deal where Maori and Mana candidates do not run against each other, as explained in last month’s INCITE by Simon Lusk available to premium customers.
That analysis was run past several key Maori involved in politics and they told us it was spot on.
Tuku Morgan is as cunning as a robber’s dog, but he has form, and has shafted Winston before…will he do it again?
