Video: Hamas Terrorist Tactics

This video explains the background to Operation Cast Lead, specifically the terrorist tactics that Hamas employs. It shows how Hamas smuggles in weaponry in order to arm itself and how it employs the civilian population and infastructure in order to carry out terrorist attacks against Israel. Hamas’ use of human shields during Operation Cast Lead caused many civilian casualties.

The school that Israel didn't bomb

Remember the fuss the media and jihad-enabler like Bomber made about Israel shelling a UN school. Slight problem. They didn’t nor did they kill anyone at the school. The stories were all lies as you will see below.

From Andrew Bolt.  There is too much detail to edit this story. it is also too important not to tell it.

Every Israeli operation to defend itself has one. And the “bombed school” was the ”Jenin massacre” or the ”bombed ambulance” hoax of Israel’s operation this past month in Gaza.

In early January Israel was once again accused of a horrific war crime – an allegation that ran and ran. Some examples:

From Britain’s The Independent:

Massacre of innocents as UN school is shelled

From The Australian:

THE deaths of 42 people in an Israeli attack at a UN-run school in Gaza overnight has finally forced Barack Obama to break his silence over the conflict…

From The Age:

43 Palestinians in a UN school were killed by Israeli shelling

From Iran:

The UN High Commissioner for Rights has also called for independent investigations into possible war crimes after Israel’s shelling of a UN school compound which killed 42 people

From India:

Israeli tank shells killed more than 40 Palestinians on Tuesday at a UN school where civilians had taken shelter, in carnage likely to boost international pressure on Israel to halt a Gaza offensive.

The key ingredients in this latest “proof’’ of Israeli depravity: 43 dead, school attacked, sheltering civilians massacred. Oh, and with no good cause:

The United Nations on Wednesday denied Israeli army allegations that militants were inside a school in Gaza that was hit the previous day by an Israeli strike, killing at least 42 people.

Now for the facts of that January 6 mortar shelling of the Ibn Rushd Preparatory School for Boys, run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.

Yes, the 43 people are dead, and that is a tragedy, given many were undoubtedly innocent. But the rest of the allegations? False, false and false. Yet again the media has bought anti-Israeli propaganda, as a Toronto Globe and Mail investigation has found:

Physical evidence and interviews with several eyewitnesses, including a teacher who was in the schoolyard at the time of the shelling, make it clear: While a few people were injured from shrapnel landing inside the white-and-blue-walled UNRWA compound, no one in the compound was killed. The 43 people who died in the incident were all outside, on the street, where all three mortar shells landed….

While the killing of 43 civilians on the street may itself be grounds for investigation, it falls short of the act of shooting into a schoolyard crowded with refuge-seekers….
The teacher, who refused to give his name because he said UNRWA had told the staff not to talk to the news media, was adamant: “Inside [the compound] there were 12 injured, but there were no dead.”…

Hazem Balousha, who runs an auto-body shop across the road from the UNRWA school, was down the street, just out of range of the shrapnel, when the three shells hit. He showed a reporter where they landed: one to the right of his shop, one to the left, and one right in front.

UNRWA itself now openly concedes its school was not actually shelled:

John Ging, UNRWA’s operations director in Gaza, acknowledged in an interview this week that all three Israeli mortar shells landed outside the school and that “no one was killed in the school.” … The Israelis are the ones, he said, who got everyone thinking the deaths occurred inside the school.

“Look at my statements,” he said. “I never said anyone was killed in the school. Our officials never made any such allegation.”

But the Globe and Mail recalls an earlier Ging quote:

Speaking from Shifa Hospital in Gaza City as the bodies were being brought in that night, an emotional Mr. Ging did say: “Those in the school were all families seeking refuge. … There’s nowhere safe in Gaza.”

And a World Health Organization report:

On 6 January, 42 people were killed following an attack on a UNRWA school …

And a UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs weekly report:

Israeli shelling directly hit two UNRWA schools [including this one]…

So why did Israel lob those three mortar shells into the street outside the school? As Associated Press reported at the time:

In a statement, the Israeli army said an initial investigation found that “mortar shells were fired from within the school at IDF soldiers. The force responded with mortars at the source of fire. The Hamas cynically uses civilians as human shields.” The army said two Hamas militants — Imad Abu Askar and Hasan Abu Askar — were among the dead.

Two neighborhood residents confirmed the Israeli account, saying a group of militants fired mortars from a street near the school, then fled into a crowd of people in the streets. Israel then opened fire. The residents, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they feared for their safety, said the Abu Askar brothers were known low-level Hamas militants.

“Within” is not right, of course. But it seems the real story is that 43 people, including at least two Hamas militants, were killed when Israel returned fire from Hamas mortars launched from among a crowd in the street.

You might still not like what occured. But it is very, very different to what was so widely alleged, and far more forgivable.

And after the earlier evidence of the media repeating pro-Hamas propaganda and gross exaggerations of the death toll in Gaza, especially among civilians, we need to ask again: how much can we trust the coverage of journalists and welfare groups reporting from territory run by terrorists?

Do they think we are stupid?

Pallywood has moved into overdrive ever since the Israeli’s moved out. They are getting creative even if the videos are somewhat stupid.

Hamas is now claiming that the Gaza Zoo, which they booby-trapped, was……uhmmmm….booby-trapped and animals were tortured and shot by the mad dog Israelis.

There is a slight problem with this contention and that is that the Israelis documented by video the booby-trapping of the Zoo some time ago during Operation Cast Lead.

Duh! Talk about an own goal by the Pally propagandists.

Anyway Little Green Footballs has provided us with another fantastic video proving the lies of teh Pallywood special and this video is from their own children televisions show. I think it gives us a good idea as to who killed and tortured the animals. (Caution for cat-lovers here)

Jihad Watch: More Hamas War Crimes

Despite the best efforts of the jihad-e-enablers amongst the press and bloggers, like the BBC, manufacturing war crimes charges against the Israeli forces we are now seeing the truth starting to creep out of Gaza.

JihadWatch is one of the best sites for this information and today is no exception with two stories about how Hamas committed and commits war crimes.

The first is about how Hamas would try to hijack amubulances in order to get fighters out of harms way;

Mohammed Shriteh, 30, is an ambulance driver registered with and trained by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

His first day of work in the al-Quds neighbourhood was January 1, the sixth day of the war. “Mostly the war was not as fast or as chaotic as I expected,” Mr Shriteh told the Herald. “We would co-ordinate with the Israelis before we pick up patients, because they have all our names, and our IDs, so they would not shoot at us.”

Mr Shriteh said the more immediate threat was from Hamas, who would lure the ambulances into the heart of a battle to transport fighters to safety.

“After the first week, at night time, there was a call for a house in Jabaliya. I got to the house and there was lots of shooting and explosions all around,” he said.

Because of the urgency of the call, Mr Shriteh said there was no time to arrange his movements with the IDF.

“I knew the Israelis were watching me because I could see the red laser beam in the ambulance and on me, on my body,” he said.

Getting out of the ambulance and entering the house, he saw there were three Hamas fighters taking cover inside. One half of the building had already been destroyed.

“They were very scared, and very nervous … They dropped their weapons and ordered me to get them out, to put them in the ambulance and take them away. I refused, because if the IDF sees me doing this I am finished, I cannot pick up any more wounded people.

“And then one of the fighters picked up a gun and held it to my head, to force me. I still refused, and then they allowed me to leave.”

Mr Shriteh says Hamas made several attempts to hijack the al-Quds Hospital’s fleet of ambulances during the war.

“You hear when they are coming. People ring to tell you. So we had to get in all the ambulances and make the illusion of an emergency and only come back when they had gone.”…

Nice fellas those Hamas folks, hijacking ambulances so the baby-killing Israeli Terrorist Army won’t shoot at them. Hang on a minute, weren’t the Israeli Army hell bent on genocide and maximising civilian casualties? Surely the Israelis was blowing those to kingdom come because there isn’t really a better target than screaming, wounded, children and mothers is there for causing massacres?

The second story isn’t much better. Palestinian people fed up to the back teeth with 14th centrury barbarism from hamas are starting to out who the real baby killers are. They tell how Hamas forced them to stay in buildings where fighters were station.

Palestinian civilians have accused Hamas of forcing them to stay in homes from which gunmen shot at Israeli soldiers during the recent hostilities in Gaza, the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported Thursday.

More than 1,250 Palestinians were reportedly killed during Israel’s offensive against Hamas in the coastal territory. Israel has been harshly criticized for the large number of civilians among the Palestinian dead, of whom they numbered more than half according Gaza officials.

But the Italian paper also quoted a doctor at Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital as disputing the number of Palestinians said to have been killed in the campaign.

“It’s possible that the death toll in Gaza was 500 or 600 at the most, mainly youths aged 17 to 23 who were enlisted by Hamas – who sent them to their deaths,” he said.

13 Israelis were also killed during the 3-week operation, which was aimed at halting rocket fire on southern Israel and destroying Hamas’ infrastructure.

The Gaza doctor was further quoted as saying: “Perhaps it is like Jenin in 2002. At the beginning they spoke about 1,500 dead, and at the end it turned out to be only 54 – of whom 45 were militants.”

He was referring to the Israel Defense Forces battle with Palestinian militants in the West Bank town that took place during Operation Defensive Shield at the height of the second intifada.

Top IDF officer: Hamas made ‘monstrous’ use of children during Gaza op

The IDF Gaza Division Commander on Thursday, meanwhile, branded Hamas’ use of women and children during the offensive in Gaza as “monstrous” and “inhumane.”

Brig. Gen. Eyal Eisenberg said the civilians were sent by Hamas to transfer weapons to gunmen during the offensive. He also accused the Islamist militant group of booby-trapping many of the civilians’ homes.

“Entire families in Gaza lived on top of a barrel of explosives for months without knowing,” Eisenberg said.

The officer asserted that despite international calls for investigations into alleged war crimes, the Israel Defense Forces soldiers adhered to moral principles while fighting in Gaza.

The math of Gaza

Thanks to Oswald for directing me to this story.

If you believe the jihad-enablers and hand wringers of the left who have given up social democracy to support Hamas, the Israelis were variously accused of genocide, ethnic cleansing, murder and mass slaughter of civilians in their recent foray into Gaza. Those jihad-enablers, islamist apologists and hand wringers might like to consider some basic math.

There are anywhere from 20,000 to 40,000 Hamas soldiers. There are 1.5 million innocent civilians. Even if you are a complete moron you should be able to do the following math. 40,000 divided by 1.5 million is 1 soldier for every 37.5 civilians. So if one simply dropped a bomb in gaza and blindly killed 1200 people there would be 32 Hamas soldiers and 1168 innocent civilians. Even the UN, the best friend Hamas can have, estimates that 25% of the dead are civilians.

If Israel is targeting civilians than why is their hit rate – 25% – so miserably low when if they simply closed their eyes and bombed randomly without looking, they could get 96% civilians hit? Mathematics alone proves that Israel has to be doing something right to be saving so many civilian lives.

It is obvious that Israel must be taking great pains to target only soldiers that instead of only killing 32 soldiers (the number expected if they weren’t careful) they actually killed 900 – or 28 times better! I don’t know any army that is so careful, so considerate, so caring for human life that they have spared so many civilians that could have died just in the normal fog of war. This is why intelligent people know that Israel cares more about the Palestinian people in Gaza than Hamas does.

Well that kind puts to bed the accusations of the jihad-enablers and hand-wringers. It is simply farcical to suggest that the best combat army in the world after the US is targetting deliberately civilians and then scores so few of them.

By the way, there are so few civilians dying that Hamas has to stage fake deaths.

Marching for Hamas

If you are like me and have been scratching your head as lifelong socialists and supposed advocates for progressive politics lined up and marched and moan on behalf of Hamas then you would be joining a large group of us who just shake our heads in wonder.

You should read this article in the Jerusalem Post about exactly this topic. It is most interesting;

Hamas is a bully aided by a bigger bully, Iran. And, just as strident and threatening human bullies get away with their aggression so long as no one calls their bluff, so Hamas has been getting away with murder and torture because the UN and many states won’t call its two-faced self-portrayal as the victim in the piece. In the struggle to take over Gaza from Fatah, it went on a rampage that killed hundreds of Palestinians. Even during this most recent assault, in early January, it executed Fatah members for violating their house arrest. A few weeks ago, Hamas determined to hurt yet more of its compatriots by introducing Islamic hudud punishments to the Strip, from amputations and stonings, to crucifixions and hangings.

Not a word from the mainstream media about Hamas’ re-introduction of crucifixions, not a word about the masscre of Fatah, not a word about plenty of other atrocities around the world but plenty plus to say about israel defending its citizens from terror attacks.

Like all bullies, it likes to taunt its victims. It did just that for years after Israel left Gaza, firing rockets every day into towns like Sderot or Netivot. No one who has dismissed these rockets as harmless homemade toys has ever had the guts to spend a few weeks in Sderot, scurrying from shelter to shelter. And, oh yes, it also built up an arsenal (supplied by Iran) of Grad missiles that certainly aren’t anybody’s toys.

Exactly, Bomber may have a tough sticker on his arm (big deal, so do I) but I doubt he’d like to trot around Sderot underHamas “gloried skyrockets”.

Like all bullies, Hamas likes to make boastful threats. Its 1988 Covenant is replete with them. It threatens to destroy the State of Israel by violence and violence alone. It says it will never accept the work of conferences or peacemakers, and only jihad will solve its problems. Meanwhile, the Palestinians see their lives drained away in a culture that embraces death and martyrdom, their children exposed to a steady diet of military training and preparation for violent death as suicide bombers.

Even if the Palestinians want peace, Hamas won’t let them have it, because Hamas knows best, and jihad “is the only solution.” Don’t believe me, read the Covenant. It likes nothing better than killing Jews, and the bigger bully in Teheran thinks that’s a damn fine thing too. No one says a word, because the UN is dominated by the Islamic states, and the Western governments know where the oil comes from, and nobody likes the Jews much anyway. The people calling for the end of Israel while they march on the streets of London and Dublin aren’t all Muslims by any means.

Now we are getting to the nub of the issue. UN cowardice and intrangience at dealing with bullies. Hamas, whose Covenant specifically denouces any diplomatic solution and Islam, a religion that states in the Qu’ran that it is acceptable to lie and agree to treaties even when there is no intention of keeping the promises just so long as it decieves the infidel.

There can be no greater indication of this boastfulness than what has happened in recent days. Having taken a heavy battering from Israel, Hamas now proclaims a “great victory,” and its supporters dance in the ruined streets of Gaza, drunk on their own demagoguery. For all its bluster, Hamas, like all bullies, is a coward at heart. Watch those films of Hamas gunmen dragging screaming children along with them to act as human shields, watch how they fire from behind the little ones, knowing no Israeli soldier will fire back. And even as they put their own children’s lives at risk, they shout to high heaven that the Israelis are Nazis and the Jews are child-killers. This blatant pornography spreads through the Western media, and people never once ask “what does this look like from the other side,” because they are addicted to the comforting news that the Yids are baby-killers as they’d always known, that they do poison wells, that no Christian child is safe come Passover. Hamas has become proficient at resurrecting the blood libel, just as its fighters use the Nazi salute, just as their predecessor in the 1930s and ’40s, Haj Amin al-Husseini, conferred with Hitler about building death camps in Palestine and raised a division of SS troops in Bosnia to fight for the Reich.

Deny history all you like but the facts are the facts. The evidence is before us all of the evil of hamas and yet usually sane white liberals march the streets in support of them. The irony is that of all the things the liberal accuse Israel of it is Hamas that is perpetrating all of them.

We watch The Diary of Anne Frank on television, and some of us attend Holocaust Remembrance Day events, and others pay lip service to Jewish victimhood; we like our Jews emaciated and helpless under the SS boot. But the moment real Jews stand up and show themselves the stronger for all their deaths, it awakens an atavistic fear, and people recoil from them. Jews in uniform, how unseemly. Jews beating the bully, how unheard of. Jews with their own state, what upstarts.

Yeah, what is it with that. We all nod sagely and say “Never again” and then a bunch of rag wearing haters and wreckers march down our streets preaching to all who will listen that is exactly want they want a repeat of and this time to be thorough in the solution to the problems.

IN MY home country of Ireland, we glamorize the great nationalist heroes who rebelled against the bullying forces of imperial Britain in the uprising of Easter Sunday 1916. In France, they venerate the heroes of the Resistance against the occupying forces of Nazi Germany. In Spain, they have not ceased to heap praise on those who fought against the forces of fascist bullies and lost. To stand up against an enemy bent on your destruction is everywhere counted an act of bravery. But not when it comes to Israel. In 1948 and 1967 and 1973 and 2006, Israel fought off overwhelming forces who made no secret of their plans for an imminent massacre of the Jews. But nobody now seems to care, no one lauds the courage the Israelis displayed, and no one praises the extraordinary restraint they showed in victory.

Well this reader for one thinks what Israelis have achieved in nation building is amazing. It is a shame that there are literally millions hell bent on the destruction of that achievement.

In a bizarre reversal of all their commitment to human rights and the struggle of men and women for independence and self-determination, the European Left has chosen again and again to side with the bullies and to condemn a small nation struggling to survive in a hostile neighborhood. It is all self-contradictory: The Left supports gay rights, yet attacks the only country in the Middle East where gay rights are enshrined in law. Hamas makes death the punishment for being gay, but “we are all Hamas now.” Iran hangs gays, but it is praised as an agent of anti-imperialism, and allowed to get on with its job of stoning women and executing dissidents and members of religious minorities. If UK Premier Gordon Brown swore to wipe France from the face of the earth, he would become a pariah among nations. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad threatens to do that to Israel and is invited to speak to the UN General Assembly.

Ironic isn’t it, and very hard to fathom. Perhaps if Bomber could take a chill pill and explain this aspect we might, no promises though, just might start to understad how the liberal progressives have come to support the very people that would actually literally crucify them for their own beliefs.

Israel guarantees civil liberties to all its citizens, Jew or Arab alike, but it is dubbed “an apartheid state”; Hamas, ever the bully, kills its opponents and denies the rest the most basic rights, but we march on behalf of Hamas. The Left prefers the bully because the bully represents a finger in the face of the establishment? Almost no one on the Left has any understanding of militant Islam. Their politics is a politics of gesture, where wearing a keffiyeh is cool but understanding its symbolism is too much effort even for intellectuals.

Yeah fathom that will you.

I have personally had enough of it all. The whining double standards, the blatant lies, the way their leaders have forced Palestinians to suffer for 60 years because peace and compromise aren’t in their vocabulary and because they won’t settle for anything but total victory. Painful as it was, in the 1920s Ireland created a republic by compromising on the status of the North. Ireland subsequently became a prosperous country and, in due course, one of the hottest economies in the world. When the Israelis left Gaza in 2005, they left state-of-the-art greenhouses to form the basis for a thriving economy. Hamas destroyed them to the last pane of glass. Why? Because they had been Jewish greenhouses.

I personally have had enough of it as well and over the break I decided to make a stand and that is why this blog will from now on draw attention to liberal hypocrisy over Israel and Jihadi-enabling actions by Westerners. We must not tolerate appeasement with fundamental Islam. I suggest that those who are balking go read the Qu’ran online and really find out about Islam and compare what you find with the lies that we are told. Remember if you do n othing then we will very quickly become like the Netherlands where a Member of parliament gets arrested and prosecuted for actually telling the truth, it was just that the Muslim extremists that have castrated Holland don’t want you to know the truth.

IDF shows hows how Hamas used schools and mosques as cover

The IDF has released maps showing just how callous Hamas are and also disrespectful of shcools and mosques in order cause maximum destruction, not just of Israeli soldiers but also Gazan citizens. The maps show roadside IED’s near mosques, rocket launchers near mosques and training camps just 27m from a school.

This map shows the way that a roadside explosive had been laid on a road south of Khan Younis with the control wire leading from the nearby mosque.

Hamas rocket launching site located adjacent to a mosque in the Shaati Refugee Camp.

Hamas military camp adjacent to school in the northern Gaza Strip.

Some Gaza notes

While Bomber continues his racist and anti-Jew rants there are some interesting comments about the Gaza conflict emerging.

The Volokh Conspiracy has a summary and another good one exists at Huffington Post.

Check out though what this retired British Army Colonel says about Israel and its efforts to minimise civilian casualties.

“I don’t think there has ever been a time in the history of warfare when any army has made more efforts to reduce civilian casualties and the deaths of innocent people than the IDF is doing today in Gaza”

Last IDF soldiers leave Gaza

This morning, the last IDF soldiers left the Gaza Strip and returned to Israel.

The forces are now redeployed outside the Gaza Strip, and are prepared for any development.

The key moving forward will be for Hamas to embrace peace, clearly war isn’t a winner for them or their constituents.

Hamas in their own words

hat tip JihadWatch

It is always wise to study the words and actions of your enemies. This video shows you the words, actions and deeds of Hamas. These are the people that jihad-enablers like Bomber Bradbury thinks have the moral authority over the Israeli government. I am yet to see any video of this kind showing Israeli politicians calling for the annihilation of any Arab State or any other country, yet it is Hamas that people like Bomber Bradbury support. Why is this? In supporting this kind of behaviour then they are supporting jihad and enabling it through their anti-semitic rantings and irrational, twisted views of history.
