The UN’s ” victory ” has defeated the peace process

As Benjamin Netanyahu said prophetically to Murray McCully in this video the only way to achieve a peaceful outcome is through direct negotiations not by Fiat. Israel used direct negotiations to broker peace with both Jordan and Egypt. This was a huge achievement considering both countries had declared war on Israel and attacked it. Israel won the war and brokered peace so McCully should have listened to Netanyahu because he knows what he is talking about. The UN’s fiat against Israel has made the situation much, much, worse not better as they have claimed.

The resolution “doesn’t bring peace closer. It pushes it further away,”

-Benjamin Netanyahu

As the head of the security council, McCully did not go after Iran for violating all the security council’s resolutions. In fact, the security council under his leadership REMOVED sanctions against Iran despite the fact that Iran presents a serious challenge to peace and security in the Middle East. Iran has a vast terror network over five continents and continues to grow its nuclear stockpile yet McCully and the UN acted against a country that is constantly defending itself against terrorism. A country that Iran wants to use its nuclear weapons against. A country that wants peace with its neighbours, not war. A country that only wants some security as it is surrounded by hostile un-democratic countries.

McCully and the UN may call their actions a ” victory ” but look at what have they actually achieved:

Support Terrorists? Find yourself liable for their attacks

A US court has found Arab Bank guilty of aiding and abetting terrorism for helping launder Hamas money and helping to finance acts of terror.

A U.S. jury on Monday found Arab Bank Plc liable for providing material support to Hamas and said it must compensate victims of two dozen attacks attributed to the Islamic militant group in Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Jurors needed less than two days of deliberations to reach their verdict after a six-week trial in Brooklyn federal court, which lawyers described as the first terrorism financing civil case to reach trial in the United States.

A trial on damages will be held later. Similar lawsuits are pending in New York against Bank of China Ltd, which is accused of providing services to Palestine Islamic Jihad, and Credit Lyonnais SA, which is accused of aiding Hamas. Those banks have denied the respective allegations.

Nearly 300 Americans who were either victims or related to victims of attacks linked to Hamas had sued Arab Bank in 2004.

They accused the Jordanian bank of violating the Anti-Terrorism Act, a law that lets victims of U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organizations such as Hamas seek damages.

“It has been a long haul,” said plaintiff Maida Averbach, 76, who said her son was paralyzed from the neck down in a 2003 suicide bombing and died in 2010 from complications. “Unfortunately my Steve isn’t here.” Averbach spoke to reporters by phone.

Arab Bank said it would appeal. In a statement, the bank said the verdict “comes as no surprise” after a series of what it considered legally incorrect court rulings that kept it from mounting a proper defense, and effectively “put Hamas on trial.”

The bank also said the verdict exposes banks such as itself to “enormous liability” for providing routine banking services.

Shand Stephens, a lawyer for Arab Bank, predicted that the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals “is going to reverse this.”

Mark Werbner, a lawyer for some of the plaintiffs, said the verdict sends a message that “when a bank opens its doors to terrorists, they’re going to be held accountable.”

Hamas used ceasefire to execute 25 Gazan civilians and blame Israel

There is no limit to the depravity of Hamas, and it disgusts me that our media continues to cuddle these terrorists and they wreak self-inflicted destruction on their people.

If they aren’t putting children into the tunnels to die they are executing their own people and trying to blame the Israelis.

Hamas militants killed at least 25 Gazan civilians suspected of collaborating with Israel, World Net Daily reported, citing sources close to Hamas and the Islamic Jihad groups.

The sources told WND that most of the extra-judicial killings of suspected collaborators took place during a brief “humanitarian” cease-fire last Thursday. Hamas blamed the killings on Israel saying they took place four days earlier, in Shuja’iya, on Gaza’s northern border with Israel.

The murdered Gazans were accused of leading Israeli troops to smuggling tunnels and providing intelligence on Hamas’ infrastructure inside Gazan cities, according to the sources.

According to WND, the sources also said “the civilian suspects murdered by Hamas were publicly celebrated by Hamas as martyrs killed by the Jewish state.”  Read more »

Respecting Ramadan in Gaza

So this is how Hamas and militant terror organisations respect Ramadan.

Two IDF Soldiers Lightly Injured in Rocket Attack, 17 Aug. 2010

Two IDF soldiers were lightly injured from mortar shells fired by Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip this morning, landing in the Eshkol Regional Council. The two were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment. An IDF force responded by firing at the source of the launches.

The mortar shells landed in the same area where just last night IDF soldiers thwarted an attack by an Islamic Jihad militant who planted an explosive device near the security fence.

The IDF responded.

The Israel Air Force struck a weapons manufacturing site in the central Gaza Strip, two weapons-smuggling tunnels and a terror tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip overnight.

The attack is in response to the mortar shells that were fired at Israel, hitting the Eshkol Regional Council communities, during the past 24 hours, causing light injuries to two IDF soldiers.

More than 115 rockets and mortars have been fired at Israeli territory since the beginning of 2010, and over 420 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel since the end of operation Cast Lead.
