Guest Post: Our world: The PLO’s zero-sum game

The opportunity now upon us may be lost forever as the PLO comes back to win its zerosum game against Israel.

Since its inception in the late 1970s, the Israeli peace movement has been based on one thing: hope.
Members of the peace movement hoped the PLO’s war with Israel could be resolved through compromise. Proponents of peace with the PLO hoped that Yasser Arafat and his terrorist minions weren’t truly committed to Israel’s destruction.

The two-state formula was based on the hope that Israel could reach an accommodation with the PLO. To wit, in exchange for parts of Judea and Samaria and Gaza (no one was talking about Jerusalem), Israeli peaceniks, who over time came to encompass all factions of the Left in Israel, hoped the PLO would bury the hatchet, build a state, or federate with Jordan, and that would be that.

In 1992, the peace camp took over the government. Under the leadership of then prime minister Yitzhak Rabin and then foreign minister Shimon Peres, hope became the basis for Israel’s national security strategy. That strategy was followed by every Israeli government since. The basic idea was clear enough. In exchange for land and guns and legitimacy, Arafat and his goons would be domesticated.

Obama’s scorched earth policy in final weeks will not go unpunished by Trump

It is clear to even the most casual observer that Obama is doing all he can to road block incoming President Donald Trump in every way that he can regardless of the consequences for America. Some speculate that he is doing all this in a hiss and a roar at the last minute because he was caught off guard when Trump won.

Donald Trump just drew a line in the proverbial sand. And President Barack Obama better simmer down very quickly, or face brutal consequences.

Trump officials made it clear late Thursday that if Obama continues to scorch America’s already-fragile foreign policy on his way out of the White House door, he will face sweeping federal probes when Trump assumes the presidency and control of the nation’s law enforcement apparatus.

Putin nailed it in his response to Malevolent Obama’s “Kitchen diplomacy”

While Obama is doing all he can to create problems for America and Donald Trump on his way out the Russian bear that he did his best to poke with a stick has calmly put him in his place. Obama blaming Russia for the hacking when he has provided zero evidence of their guilt is very un-presidential behaviour.

The silence from National is deafening, Bill English is treating his supporters with disdain

While Labour leader Andrew Little and Act leader David Seymour were quick to answer new media queries from Whaleoil, PM Bill English has remained silent and has refused to respond to the issue either via new media or the MSM. As the repercussions of Nationals’s controversial action at the UN swirl, he has ignored Whaleoil’s repeated requests for comment. My last three attempts to reach him are below. Does English really think that closing his eyes and putting his hands over his ears and saying la la la repeatedly will make this issue go away? The Americans are angry, Israel is angry and many of The National party’s voters are angry. He needs to explain Nationals’s actions and he needs to do it quickly before National bleeds any more support.

Obama is wreaking havoc during his final days as President

Until this month America has always exercised its veto power in order to protect its ally Israel but Obama’s orchestrated move against Israel is only one of a number of highly controversial moves that he is making before Trump takes over on the 20th of January.

Israeli officials fear that the conference’s recommendations may then be approved in another UN Security Council recommendation just before Obama leaves office on January 20.

In a radio interview, Erdan said Kerry’s speech was part of a broader effort to hinder the incoming administration of Donald Trump, who has signalled he will have much warmer relations with Israel.

“This step is a pathetic step. It is an anti-democratic step because it’s clear that the administration and Kerry’s intention is to chain President-elect Trump,” Erdan told Israel Army Radio.

Erdan, a member of Netanyahu’s Likud Party and inner Security Cabinet, said Obama administration officials are “pro-Palestinian” and “don’t understand what’s happening in the Middle East.”

-Stuff

It seems that he is doing as much damage and causing as much trouble as he can before the new administration comes aboard. One of his actions was to undermine Trump’s plans to tighten up on immigration by pushing through a 2014 deportation amnesty. Luckily for Trump, it has been suspended by the court who said it broke administrative law!

New Zealand’s UN resolution against Israel is a recipe for legal jihad

Some people think what New Zealand did to Israel is no big deal and is nothing more that a rap over the hand with a wet bus ticket that Israel can choose to ignore. What New Zealand set in motion has opened Israel up to legal jihad with serious consequences for the only true democracy in the Middle East.

…The resolution makes Israeli citizens that are involved in the settlement enterprise in the West Bank vulnerable to lawsuits in courts all over the world.

Jerusalem is also worried that the resolution opens the door for lawsuits against Israeli officials at the ICC: government ministers and senior IDF officers who make decisions about construction in the settlements, the demolition of Palestinian homes, or the expropriation of lands could be accused of war crimes under the Geneva Convention.

The resolution can also lead to the creation of mechanisms to monitor and report Israeli actions, which could lead to sanctions being imposed against it.

The resolution’s wording can also be seen as a victory to the BDS Movement, as it opens the door for boycotts of goods produced in the Jewish settlements in the West Bank.

Quite rightly Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not letting this attack go unanswered and he is hitting the corrupt and hopelessly compromised, Muslim controlled UN where it hurts. The exact same sweet spot that Trump can also push, thanks to Republican support for cutting UN funding unless the decision is reversed.

The nightmare of being a Christian in the left supported paradise of Palestine

The lefties say they are all about women’s rights, gay rights and religious freedom but they hate Israel which is the only country in the Middle East that has all three. Palestine, the poster child for every leftist’s cause de jour, on the other hand, is revealed in an interview to be persecuting and subjugating Christians and stealing their land!

Without question, Samir Qumsieh is one of the most courageous Christian leaders in the Middle East. Qumsieh is one of the few willing to risk his life to speak out against Muslim persecution of Christians in the Palestinian territories and the Middle East, generally.

For the past four decades, Samir Qumsieh…has fought for the rights of the region’s miniscule Palestinian Christian minority. He has even dared to speak out against the subjugation of Christians living under the rule of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The plight of the Christians living under the Palestinian Authority and Hamas is a subject truly taboo. Yet Qumsieh perseveres – and pays the price. He regularly receives death threats, and he has been the target of a petrol bomb attack. Muslim extremists have also distributed leaflets in the Bethlehem area condemning him for his outspoken views and activities on behalf of persecuted Christians.

Are you a member of the metropolitan liberal elite? Take the quiz

Jeremy Corbyn sparked debate after attributing Donald Trump’s US election win to a rejection of the “political elite”.

This may sound rich from someone who has been a figure in British politics since 1974, and has rarely had a job outside of trade unions or Labour, but it is true Mr Trump has been labelled an anti-elite, anti-establishment candidate.

Recently, “elite” has been used as shorthand …for the metropolitan liberal elite, which according to anti-establishment politicians has had power for too long.

…Are you a member of the “hated elite”?

Journo-terrorism created the Trump monster

Cognitive dissonance occurs when the facts don’t match your perception of the world. In order to maintain your view of yourself as a smart and well-informed person you need to come up with an explanation for why those facts don’t match your perception.  This is the situation that Hillary voters found themselves in when Trump won and it is the reason why so many of them have gone crazy, crying and rioting and generally carrying on like spoiled brats. The cognitive dissonance has been HUGE for them.

Victims of Journo- terrorism, they have been conditioned to see  Trump as a monster. The creator of the cartoon Dilbert, Scott Adams  explains the problem.

This brings me to the anti-Trump protests. The protesters look as though they are protesting Trump, but they are not. They are locked in an imaginary world and battling their own hallucinations of the future. Here’s the setup that triggered them.

1. They believe they are smart and well-informed.

2. Their good judgement told them Trump is OBVIOUSLY the next Hitler, or something similarly bad.

3. Half of the voters of the United States – including a lot of smart people – voted Trump into office anyway.

Those “facts” can’t be reconciled in the minds of the anti-Trumpers. Mentally, something has to give. That’s where cognitive dissonance comes in.
