You may have heard about French humorist Rémi Gaillard who has made a name for himself over the past few years for a series of pranks that he uploads on his YouTube channel.
For his latest practical joke, Gaillard decided to dress up as a…mobile speed camera and flash passing cars on the road. The funniest part of the video comes at the end when he targets a French police car.

What is very interesting is that none of the mainstream media sites who made this an issue int eh forst place have had the balls to publish even links to the files. For all their talk about public interest you would have thought they would have done so now that Bradley Ambrose has released the file into the wild.
That would suggest that their legal advice is somewhat better than Alistair Thompson at Scoop who has also now published the audio and Youtube video. It seems though that Russell Brown may be furiously trying to stuff the cat back in the bag.
Interesting article at the tactics of Sony Music Entertainment who appear to be making money off unsigned artists by claiming copyright breaches through Youtube.
So, in October we uploaded a video for a track called Con Amor Siempre. It gained a modest number of views and we were fairly happy, until one day we logged into our account and were told our video had been blocked in Germany because the video contained content owned by an entity called SME.
SME stands for Sony Music Entertainment and the content ID system had mistakenly identified our track as been owned or partially owned by them. Not only was the video blocked in Germany, but an advert had been displayed on our video’s YouTube page and an iTunes link below for an artist and track that had nothing to do with our music.
REad the rest of the post to see what these artists had to go through to remove the illegal claim from SME. it was only major embarrassment through Twitter, Blog posts and Facebook that shamed SME into relinquishing their false claim. I do wonder though how much money they made off the false claim.

Two of the Rotorua supermarket attackers have been arrested:
Two women have been arrested after a video of three women attacking Countdown staff went viral on YouTube.
The video shows two Countdown Rotorua staff trying to grab bags from a group of women as they try to leave the store. They verbally abuse the staff, kick them and hit them over the head.
The video has been uploaded to video sharing website YouTube and social networking website Facebook.
It has had over 15,000 views since being posted.
It was taken by a Rotorua man who was sitting in a vehicle outside Countdown Rotorua on Fenton St and uploaded to Facebook on January 4. Since then it has been spread around Rotorua, New Zealand and Australia via the internet and attracted many negative comments from Rotorua people angered by the women’s actions.
Rotorua Police said two women, a 50-year-old and a 30-year-old, both from Rotorua, have been charged with aggravated assault and theft, and will appear in the Rotorua District Court on January 15.
