You know what pisses me off….

[Imported from Whale Oil Beef Hooked on Blogger]

My Father in Law starts almost every sentence with this line….I think for this blog it is somewhat appropriate…
I am going to post mine and other like minded individuals views here, particularly views related to Auckland, Politics and New Zealand in general.

And speaking of which….

You know what pisses me off…when you arrive in Christchurch get in the cab and the cab driver asks you where you are from….You just know that when you reply Auckland you are going to cop it….and I sure did…every JAFA comment in the world that I have heard a hundred times came out. This guy was seriously lucky to get paid let alone leave the cab without a serious kicking.

But seriously, all you South Islanders, understand this. We the people of Auckland don’t care what you think about us, Auckland or anything. Seriously, we don’t care. We have more to do with our lives than live in hope that you get a real live Aucklander in the cab to so how jealous, petty and pathetic you all are. Get a life…no I mean a real one not a “sky is red and black” life.

Christchurch has a similar problem to Australia…lovely place to visit, shame about the inhabitants.

Ok, Ok, I had a nice long weekend in Christchurch, It was wonderful to look through closed doors and windows of shops closed on Saturday….quaint, very quaint.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
