Labour releases second cynical Election Bribe

[Imported from Whale Oil Beef Hooked on Blogger]

Labour has announced that it will increase the Working for (Other Peoples) Families package in the most gross example of pork barrell politics seen for a long time.

Families with children and an income of less than $35,000 a year would, in effect, be paying no tax at all from April 1 next year.

Well why doesn’t Labour just not tax them in the first place????

This is incredibly cynical as the left has constantly said there is no money available for Tax Cuts. It seems however that there is plenty for “Tax relief”

Mrs Peter Davis then rubs salt into the wounds by saying “The Government had always intended to eventually expand the programme, but when it became aware of the extra cash available to it three or four weeks ago, it decided to move sooner rather than later.”

They have known for weeks how much over-taxation they have scalped out of hard working Kiwis. Now we know too!!!! $7,290,000,000 for this year and a predicted incredible $29,100,000,000 up to 2008/09

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.
