AECT Delivers Again

[Imported from Whale Oil Beef Hooked on Blogger]

Time for something non election based. The Auckland Electricity Consumer Trust has recently announced an $180 dividend for all consumer beneficiaries of the Trust. This dividend is the latest in a string of annual payouts from the well performing Trust and a nice Xmas bonus for mums and dads.

As blogged earlier this week, local Labour boy Shale Chambers is a trustee of AECT, but fortunately he is well outnumbered by a sensible Citizens and Ratepayers Team.

Along with National party MPs supporting tax-cuts, CNR trustees obviously believe in returning dividends to the hard working New Zealanders who deserve them.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
