"El Jefe" must go

[Imported from Whale Oil Beef Hooked on Blogger]

Sorry Aaron, but I liked it too much not to use it.

El Jefe” Philip Field is a corrupt politician, no if’s, no but’s, he is corrupt and must go.

If we all need a reminder he is a list of his crimes (thus far)

  1. Getting a Thai tiler to work for 86c per hour on “El Jefe‘s” mansion in Samoa in return for a quiet word in the Immigration Ministers ear about his status.
  2. Buying a constituents house at far less than the market value, then kicking them out despite saying the contrary, and then onselling it for $135,000 more.
  3. Getting another Thai overstayer to paint four houses for free in return for a quiet wordin the Immigration Ministers ear about his status.

What else is out there, more to come on the doings of “El Jefe“.

He must go and Mrs Peter Davis must act…although with this level of corruption he surely must be a shoe in for a promotion.

UPDATE: Gary posts: Don’t forget his wife getting paid for her work in his electorate office. Unless he claims to have had no knowledge of it….[insert Tui’s comment here]

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
