Who is this man?

[Imported from Whale Oil Beef Hooked on Blogger]

David Farrar asked the question yesterday when this guy kept blocking people and cameras from taking pictures that would be less than flattering of Mrs Peter Davis.

Stuff this morning reveals that the brown-shirted thug is Paul Tolich, a Union Official.

It begs some questions

  1. Why the brown shirt?
  2. Why are Union Officials acting as Quasi-Police at Labour organised meetings
  3. How close is Labour to the Unions?
  4. Was Mr Tolich on leave at the time to help Labour?
  5. By touching the protestor hasn’t Mr Tolich committed an assault?
  6. What authorisation from Mrs Peter Davis does Mr Tolich have to remove protestors from a public institution?
  7. Why the brown shirt?

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
