Winnie in Bed with Helen

[Imported from Whale Oil Beef Hooked on Blogger]

Using our happy whanau analogy, it seems its now Winston in bed with Helen and Labour.

The Press and NZ Herald both report that Labour is close to deals with both the Greens and NZ First. This is good for National:

1) National happily sit back and watch the Green influence scare voters away from Labour
2) Winston will slowly see his polling drop below 5% while propping up a third term Labour Govt
3) As this happens and Winston gets worried, some good prodding by National should destabilise the Govt further
4) An unstable Govt should provide an opportunity for potential 2008 Centre-Right coalition parties to appear united (no pun intended) and increase the centre-right vote.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
