Todays Muppet award goes to David Two-Fathers

Police will not be prosecuting the Hon David Benson Pope for allegations of misconduct as a teacher in 1982 this despite there being prima facie case concerning an event where a student’s hands were taped to the desk while he had a tennis ball in his mouth and another event involving another student being struck on the face.

While there was some conflicting evidence Police concluded there was a prima facie case.

One wonders what exactly do you have to do to get prosecuted if you are a member of the government.

However, David Two-Fathers still has a little matter of his lying to parliament. Given that there is a prima facie case to answer he must have lied to parliament.

Thus, todays Muppet award goes to David Benson-Pope.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
