Umm Russell?….FRO

On the 3d January Russell Brown attacked me on his uncommentable so-called blog.

"….and angry allegations from right-wing bloggers who don’t appear to be at all familiar with Queen Street."

There was a link to my posting about  Gordon Ikin’s conflict of interest and the fact that despite him being an "independant" arborist his company surprise, surprise has won the contract to replace the trees that he reccommended be cut down.

Far from being an "angry allegation" I used as my source for that the NZ Herald article by Bernard Orsman on 30/12/2005 as my source.

"The report makes general comments about the condition and life expectancy of the trees but contains no detailed information on each of them. Mr Ikin, whose company has the contract to replace the trees with natives, could not be reached for comment."

So Russell get your facts straight, It was the Heralds "angry allegation" not mine….oh yeah and about my comments from other people….at least I have them, hypocrite.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.
