Assault on Transport Minister

Anyone interested in the sad state of Auckland’s transport network should be listening to Parliament this afternoon. Don Brash and Transport Spokesman Maurice Williamson will be grilling new boy on the block David Parker over Transport.

One of the biggest tell-tale signs that this Government cares little for Transport is the fact that they’ve decimated the importance of Transport in NZ by handing to a very lowly ranked, brand new Minister. The poor guy has to deal with Energy and as AG at the same time.

Of course, there is the complete theft of $600m worth of petrol taxes that go straight to the consolidated fund and are never used for their collected purpose.

We blog about the situation further here

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
