Another Whoopsy at Corrections

This time it is a prisoner who by all accounts is a nasty bit of goods living in luxury in a chalet outside the main perimeter fence at Hawke’s Bay Prison.

Warren Te Hei, with his luck with Corrections he will probably change his name to Te Hehe is the subject of a rare order preventing him from being released from jail early, but has been put into a self-care unit that usually houses inmates nearing the end of their sentences. This is the same guy who was one of the inmates awarded $325,000 for supposed torture.

Oh yeah and don't forget he had 10 years added onto his sentence for trying to kill another inmate….lovely.

Oh the scandals are simply pouring now.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.
