The family that shoots together stays together

Master Whaleoil got his first firearm for his 10th birthday. Ok it is an Air Rifle but I am a city dweller.

Anyway Miss Whaleoil took to it with some aplomb.

This family is now official lethal at all levels.

Whaleoil – proficient with all types of firearms including Shotguns, Rifles, Military Automatics up to .50cal, Grenade Launchers and Rocket launchers as well as pistols and revolvers. I own an example of most of those catergories.

Mrs Whaleoil – trained soldier, proficient with all Infantry weapons and with a rifle is a better shot than Whaleoil.

Master Whaleoil – Gaining proficiency with Air Rifle, and Tae Kwon Do.

Miss Whaleoil –  Gaining proficiency with Air Rifle, and Tae Kwon Do (she kicks real hard).

I'm trying to decide between a .17 or a .223 at the moment. Or will I buy the Walker Colt first- so many toys, so little money….

  • Whaleoil

.17 HMR for sure. The .223 is a noisy little fucker for little return, nowhere near the flatter trajectry of the .17HMR.

Check this puppy out.  They also have a pistol version plus a conversion kit for 1911 Colts.

My hunting grounds are plauged by the wind- I think the 17 would get blown around a bit. On the plus side for the .223, I have heaps of free brass, or it would be 22-250. Decisions, decisions!

I really need one of each!

I looked at the conversion for my 1911, but it was cheaper to buy a .22 pistol- I got a great little Bernadelli that shoots like a laser for $300!
