Herald Editorial – Slams Clark

The Herald editorial slams Labour and Clark in particular for the scurrilous attacks on the Auditor-General. They in fact suggest he should be New Zealander of the Year for standing up to the machination of Labour.
Voters will never know how the election results were affected by this unlawful free-for-all. Without Mr Brady's integrity, independence and fortitude, they might never have got to the bottom of what was, truly, a scandalous episode. His refusal to be cowed makes him a leading contender for any accolade of New Zealander of the Year, 2006.
Yes indeed. If voter will never know how the election results were affected by this illegal free-for-all then clearly the government is illegitimate.

Fresh elections must be called. Unlawful is unlawful.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
