Auditor-General looks into HBDHB conflict issue

Auditor probes contract wrangle – 11 Jul 2007 – NZ Herald: New Zealand National news

Gollum will be spewing into his Cornies this morning after finding out that the Auditor-General has taken it upon himself to look into the contract conflict of interest saga at Hawkes Bay DHB.

Gollum was trying desperately to whitewash the whole incident. Unfortunately for Minister the A-G office was already in the midst of its annual audit of the DHB and so have added this little mess to the list of things to look into.

It will be interesting to see if the Auditor-general’s report differs in any way from the whitewash team set up by Gollum.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
