Samuels announces he is quitting, joins the other rats leaving the sinking SS Labour Party

Ditch Treaty grievances, says quitting Samuels – 18 Jul 2007 – NZ Herald: New Zealand National news

The exodus continues, Labour’s master strategy is to ditch all of its useless MP’s. Dover Samuels is the latest to announce his retirement and more are expected. Unfortunately for Labour not nearly enough of their current MP’s are quitting, some like Swain can clearly see the writing on the wall and can’t stomach years in opposition.

All that will do is make more room for poofs, unionists and teachers in a party that has dreadfully lost the confidence of th nation.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
