I normally don't blog on the blatherings of the Herald's resident airhead but she has a brilliant three paragraphs at the start of her commentary before the rest of it turns into the usual rambling mess of random thoughts that tumble from her mind.

It seems that now is the time for Labour to start looking for the bathroom window. The voter, like fame, is a bitch mistress. When she finds someone else on whom to bestow her favours, little can be done to make her stay.

Pleading, threatening, begging, bribing – all the desperate measures fading lovers resort to when they sense they're about to become yesterday's men and women – only reduce their status to demeaning and humiliating levels. Then they get vindictive.[/quote]
