Economy boost delivers $8.7b surplus – New Zealand, world, sport, business & entertainment news on Stuff.co.nz

Michael Cullen has nicked $8,700,000,000 of our money more than he needed to run the economy. The figure is more than $2 billion higher than forecast in the budget. Even after all the splurges there is still $2.6 billion cash surplus or nearly a billion dollars more than forecast.
