Harden Up One Can

Nikki “One Can” Kaye needs to HTFU. If she truly was a hard-working MP caring for her constituents she would wholeheartedly back mining on Great Barrier Island in order bring much needed developments and improved economic conditions to the residents.

Think about the infrastructure that would be needed to be built on the island to support mining operations, think about the reduction in fuel costs by having large consumers of fuel effectively subsidising fuel and think about the increased access to the island created by improvements to the airport, thee wharf and the additional ferry services that would be needed.

I can see nothing but good from sacrificing but a small scrub covered part of the island.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
