Ministerial Credit Cards—Costs
Question speaker – GEORGE HAWKINS
Responding speaker – Hon GRAEME LEE
Question No – 3947

GEORGE HAWKINS (Manurewa) to the Minister of Internal Affairs: For each minister who has been supplied with a credit card by the Crown, what has been the cost for the past 12 months?

Hon GRAEME LEE (Minister of Internal Affairs) replied: My department has provided a credit card to the Minister of Finance for official expenses incurred overseas. In the year to 30 June 1993 the total amount charged to this account was $454.00

The Minister of Finance at the time was none other than Ruth Richardson, practicing what she preached. Compare that to Dr. Michael Cullen in 2003, you will be astonished. Labour troughers know no bounds.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
