Daffodil the Hypocrite

hat tip Keeping Stock

According to Daffodil Mallard it isn’t ok to mock No Shame Carter because that is homophobia, but perfectly alright for him to call out across the house and describe Chris Finlayson as “Tinkerbell” because he doesn’t mean it as an offense about his gayness, just a general insult.

He even calls out DPF’s and my site as homophobic lightening rods.

Now there is a thin line between not listening and not caring, I like to think I walk that line everyday but his comments have forced me to cross another line.

Let me make one thing clear here, I am not homophobic, there isn’t a living person in New Zealand that I fear and certainly no shirt-lifting pooftahs. I might be afraid of spiders, that I freely admit but pooftahs, no way!

Now I’m off to have a fine sift through Daffodil’s expenses for him having the temerity to say I am afraid of poofs.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
