When is a fundraiser not a fundraiser?

Well when it is a paid for evening of Opera and nice nosh of course. Even better when you get the ratepayer to stump for it just 4 days before your birthday.

From Geoff Knight’s own website we can see he classed this as a paid performance rather than any sort of fundraiser for a charity. Len Brown has also repeatedly said that the “event” was a fundraiser for a local singer. yet Geoff Knights website says he is based on the Gold Coast.

Len Brown can now be described and nothing short of an inveterate liar.

Len Brown needs to come clean and come clean real fast. There is more to this story and it all revolves a nice little rort being run by Brown to get his advertising, his staff and his spin paid for via the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre. A real good clue is Geoffrey Knight’s Investment advisor. The CEO of the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre is Richard Jeffrey and also the one who arranged “an investment vehicle aimed at launching Geoffrey’s successful international career.” The TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre would also appear, from information given to The Whale, to be the organisation paying Conor Roberts salary, so once again it looks like it is the ratepayers funding Len Brown’s campaign resources. For those who don’t know, Conor Roberts is one of Len Brown’;s spoke-persons running interference on his expenses scandal.

Len Brown has misled the media, the public and his own supporters. The man must withdraw or be taken down along with the rest of the Labour troughers.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.
