Chinatown – Botany

I went to Chinatown today with the pod.

The set-up isn’t unlike a 1000 other places like this in Wanchai except the booths are double the size. Still a interesting visit, and will probably take off out this way.

The Chinglish sign up at the front certainly thinks so. I’d say there is a high chance that the Triads have set this up (given the nature of the security guards) as a nice money-laundering business…lots of cash, lots of people, no trouble…peaceful shopping…and don’t forget the “vivid annotation of Chinese Culture”, in other words if you cause any grief at the mall it is “chop, chop” for you.

BTW the pod advises that the food hall was top notch.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
