The Circus is being packed up

Andrew Williams has been missing in action today.

Auckland’s mayors met today for the final time, before their jobs are merged into one “super mayor” from tomorrow.

As they spent their time in the spotlight, the shroud of name suppression was lifted from a Labour Party member charged with fraud in the super city election.

Six of Auckland’s seven mayors gathered in the Town Hall this morning, bringing with them diplomatic smiles and ceremonial chains of varying values.

Only North Shore Mayor Andrew Williams was missing form the bunch, convening today for the final time.

He was also missing in action at the opening of Kea Campers new facility in Albany.

Word has it he has packed the circus tent and leaves tonight for a holiday. Looks like he has worked out the circus is over. My sources tell me that he has no plans for  a party, or even to be in Auckland, so much for his loyalty to the city and to the people of Albany.

Hopefully we will have seen the back of him.

Thank you to all the kind people of Albany I have met while on the campaign trail. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.
