Labour's List leaked

via the tipline

A little birdy has just given me the Labour list. They lost interest after 38. Of course this all could be pure speculation but the source is usually reliable.

  1. Phil Goff
  2. Annette King
  3. David Cunliffe
  4. David Parker
  5. Ruth Dyson
  6. Parekura Horomia
  7. Maryan Street
  8. Clayton Cosgrove
  9. Trevor Mallard
  10. Sue Moroney
  11. Charles Chauvel
  12. Nanaia Mahuta
  13. Jacinda Ardern
  14. Grant Robertson
  15. Andrew Little
  16. Shane Jones
  17. S’ua William Sio
  18. Darien Fenton
  19. Moana Mackey
  20. Rajen Prasad
  21. Raymond Huo
  22. Carol Beaumont
  23. Rick Barker
  24. Deb Mahuta-Coyle (Goff staffer)
  25. Stuart Nash
  26. Clare Curran
  27. Brendan Burns
  28. Chris Hipkins
  29. David Shearer
  30. Michael Wood
  31. Phil Twyford
  32. Steve Chadwick
  33. Kate Sutton
  34. Jerome Mika
  35. Iain Lees-Galloway
  36. Josie Pagani
  37. Lynette Stewart (Winston’s sister)
  38. Kris Faafoi

Damien O’Conner and Ashraf Choudhary aren’t on the list at all.

Neither is Louisa Wall making a lie of Labour’s claim that the one leap-frogged to get her in on the list weren’t on the 2011 list anyway and so she was the next best thing.

Lianne Dalziel removed herself from the list.

On current polling there are a number on that list at grave risk of disappearing altogether. Steve Chawick and Iain Lees-Galloway in particular.

  • Riiiight, so Liarbore are waiting until 2014 to even start the rejuvenation. If ths is their 2011 list, they’re fucking idiots. They clearly don’t want to win in 2014 either.

  • thecelestialgardener

Have they gone mad? Huo and Prasad at 20 and 21? Horomia at 6?

Are they trying to tell people they don’t want votes?

  • Ramjam

take a look at the top 9…. men out number woman 2 to 1,
How many from the “Rainbow”? Is it 1?
8 “white MoFo’s” and only one Maori.
I guess they have picked 9 “minority’s” tho… people who are willing to have their names associated with the Labour brand.

Good to see Damien O’Connor not on the list, this guy is certain to oust the total waste of space that the Nats inflicted on the West Coast for the last three years.

  • thor42

Gawd….. what an uninspiring rabble that list is. You could get a mob that was ten times more competent by walking along Lambton Quay at lunchtime and picking people at random.

  • abjv

    1. Before Tart points it out… At least there is a list. National still doesn’t have a full set of constituency candidates.

    2. Missing a big chance for rejuventation here. Seems to confirm the widely held opinion that the Labour MPs are just hanging in there trying to protect their own position, and sort out the mess after the election.

    3. i guess Twyford is elated he finally managed to get a seat that should be winnable. Wouldn’t want to be at #31 and no fixed abode given the way polling is going.

    4. They clearly rate Kris, don’t they.

    5. Guess caucus is under orders not to roll the Leader. Let’s see how sustainable that is after the next poll results come out. Unless of course the coup is Cunliffe/Parker and everyone simply moves two places up.

  • grizz

Very little new blood. What is there is uninspiring. A phil Goff Staffer (blah). Winson’s sister (another me-too politition) and that annoying “what about me” Kate Sutton. Yeah, that will win accolades.

  • cinik

Rejuvenation! Is that PC talk for clear out the dead wood? Labour make ACT and Winston Peters look like a good option, how sad is that.

  • Graeme Edgeler

I guess your insider stepped out to the bathroom, Whale.

Take what you’ve got, slot Kelvin Davis and Carmel Sepuloni in at 23 and 24 respectively, and you’ve got it.

    • shazzadude

Heh, I was going to declare this list as having officially been pulled out of arse with the omission of Kelvin Davis, who was always going to get a slight promotion from 2008.
