A gay email from Mickey Savage

Greg Presland is a snivelling cuntOne of Labour’s Hollow Men is Greg Presland aka mickeysavage. He is a snivelling despicable pinko. He has spewed bile all over The Standard under his pseudonym “mickeysavage” in recent days about me. All of it defamatory. It is quite sickening the things he has had to say about people who suffer from depression.

He is a lawyer who should know better. He somehow feels that he is more qualified than my GP, my psychiatrist, my psychologist and WINZ to assess my mental health capacity. I am thoroughly sick of his crap, and will now lay a complaint with the Law Society about his ongoing defamations as a lawyer.

He has sent an email to Peter Goodfellow, the president of a party I am not even a member of, and has said I can print his email as long as I do so in full , so here it is complete with his email address and mobile number as he requested.

I won’t be providing him with any response given one of his comments about me was:

Feck him.  If he wants to undermine a collective community I am fecked if I am going to contribute to his salary.  He is at the extreme edge of the continum and  I know this makes bad law but he is a bludger and should be forced to work.

He is at the bottom 1% of beneficiaries.  The remaining 99% should feel safe.  But he is a bludger and should be ashamed.

The caring left. There is much worse. It will be a cold day in hell before I give anything to him other than a spit in the face. He can shove his notice. I am not afraid of a broken arsed flea lawyer from out West.

Dear Peter

There has been some recent publicity concerning the National Party’s downloading of information from a Labour Party server which regrettably was not as secure as it might be.

From today’s National Business Review I note that you have confirmed that a National Party staff member “accessed” the data.  By this I anticipate that you mean “downloaded”.  The data has also regrettably found its way into the hands of Mr Cameron Slater.

I am pretty sure that some of the data was mine.  I donated to the Labour Party to purchase some “Stop Asset Sales” signs as I considered this a worthy cause to support.  The idea of selling an interest in our power companies to essentially overseas interests is frankly insane.  I paid for the signs by credit card and I am concerned that the National Party now has my credit card’s details.

You can imagine the worry that this has caused me.  It is bad enough that your party has my credit card details but there is the strong possibility that your organisation has also facilitated Cameron Slater aka Whaleoil to obtain the same information.  I cannot imagine what he will do with this information.

So I seek the following from you:

1. Advice on what data your organisation holds concerning me.

2. Your organisation’s undertaking that it will not disclose any information that it holds concerning me to any third party.

3. Details of information already supplied to Mr Slater concerning the security problems that the Labour Party server had.

4. Details of information supplied to any third party which may include data that relates to me.

Please note that if I suffer any monetary loss because of the actions of your organisation then I reserve the right to seek damages.

I am sending a copy of this email to Mr Slater so that he is also placed on notice.  I also seek the same information from him.  If he does anything that causes me loss then I reserve the right to seek redress from him personally.

I note that Mr Slater has chosen to print previous emails from Chris Flatt.  He is at liberty to print this email but only in full.

Finally please note that I require a response within the next seven days.

Greg Presland

Is he really a lawyer? I could write a more lawerly letter than that…

If he is really that worried then he could in 5 minutes call his bank to cancel the card and get anther issued. In fact, given that he has clear information that his card information has been made public, he is being negligent in not doing so. His bank might not be so sympathetic if someone unsavoury accessed google’s cache and misused the card number…

  • lowercaseusername

Well I’d like to see him argue and try and get monetary damages. For instance, you as a web browser have no duty of care owing to him. Labour did. And if he hasn’t sent that letter to them as well then he’s undermined his argument even further. Also, you can’t just demand data from private organisations like the National Party because you feel you deserve it, and certainly not on the basis of someone else’s fuck-up. Coming from a guy who writes under a pseudonym, that’s a hilarious double standard. Have you considered taking him to court for implying you are a thief?

PS: Didn’t the emails from the Labour Party Secretary General say credit cards were not compromised? Oh dear.

  • oliveri

He doesn’t write like any lawyer I know (or would hire for that matter)….

I am sure if CK was writing a letter it would at least contain some substance, not whinging phrases like “I am pretty sure that some of the data was mine”. You’re a lawyer man, be assertive! and “By this I anticipate that you mean “downloaded”” Why? because it’s something you would do?

Anyway, the answer to the questions are “”nothing, irrelevant see 1, no, nada”

  • toby

lowercaseusername, he can demand to know what data the National Party holds about him under the Privacy Act. Not that he referenced though. He was probably too busy wiping the streams of angry sweat from his face as he dashed out his email. I doubt very much that the National Party has his credit card number and I doubt they’d do anything with it. What could they do anyway? Order pizzas with his credit card? Sell it to Nigerian fraudsters? Why bother the guy is a nobody.

Worse than that – he is an utter piece of shit. I wonder if him and his buddies will ever accept that WhaleOil and the National Party are two separate entities.

    • devlsadvocate

If my lawyer wrote a letter of that standard on my behalf, I’d fire him.

It would be fun to see him fight it out with an actual, competent lawyer – I can’t be sure but given this letter he’d get ripped to shreds.

  • Interesting that he presents to Goodfellow as a casual supporter of Labour:

I am pretty sure that some of the data was mine. I donated to the Labour Party to purchase some “Stop Asset Sales” signs as I considered this a worthy cause to support.

when just a few short months ago he was a candidate for the Labour nomination in Te Atatu for the seat vacated when Chris Carter was expelled from the Labour Party. He is a Labour Party activist from way back.

I guess that when you’re on the Left “the cause” is far more important than honesty.

    • Yes for a casual supporter of Labour he certainly spend an awful amount of time at Labour’s proxy blog The Standard attacking anyone who speaks against Labour.

He has literally thousands of comments. I have an extensive file of his most outrageous waiting for the day when Labour finally decides that he is their man in some remote electorate someone.

      • I wonder if clients get billed for the time he spends at The Standard (and Kiwiblog) during working hours.

        Just sayin’…

      • I agree all the other evidence indicates something other than a ‘casual’ supporter Whale, (such as having nominated for Te Atatu), but the fact he has made thousands of posts and comments at the substandard does not, in and of itself, indicate anything. I mean, Pete George has made over 7,000 comments at Bill English’s propaganda palace keywiblog, but that’s evidence of nothing other than the fact he’s a half-witted dickhead with too much time on his hands.

  • james

Dudes a creepy cunt….all that needs saying really.

  • alex Masterley

He’s a lawyer. Must be quiet out there in the west the amount he spends on the net.
But surely the letter should be addressed to the labor party as it was they who failed to keep his information secure.
And as people have noted to suggest that whale is capable of being controlled or that Mr Goodfellow has some influence over him is pretty funny.

  • middleagedwhiteguy

    “Dear Peter

There has been some recent publicity concerning the National Party’s downloading of information from a Labour Party server which regrettably was not as secure as it might be.”

That should be, “a Labour Party server which regrettably was not as secure as it should have been.”

Of course these words have been carefully chosen by a lawyer so that the guilty party, who he supports, is not outrightly fingered as such in his own missives.

  • cadwallader

Assuming he is a lawyer the address to send your complaint to is:

    The lawyers Complaint Service,
    PO Box 494
    Wellington 6140.
    attn Ms Mary Ollivier.

Good luck Whale. The behaviour of this creature is repulsive.

  • jamegumb

as my grandma used to say, “99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name”

  • lulu

He is not so much a lawyer as a fucking idiot.
He sets up the letter on the basis of a series of assumptions that are not borne out by what is in the public domain before getting to his real point i.e. that he hopes no one will use his credit card. As someone has already said, cancel your card dickhead. How the information got to WO is irrelevant. The problem with the information shouldn’t be characterised as “not as secure as it might be”, the information was left available to all and sundry by the useless Labour admin.
So this fuckwit is trying to make the Labour party’s problem and his anxiety about his credit card details somehow the National party’s problem and WO’s problem.
The left eh? Nothing is ever their responsibility is it?

    • overthehill

I’d go as far as suggesting that he is REQUIRED by the T&C of his Credit Card to advise the bank immediately and take appropriate action (i.e., Cancel & replace) as soon as he suspects his card has been comprimised.
But no, it’s “waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Norty Whale stoled my ccard and is going to order porn on it! Oh wait….that was ordered months ago…..waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!”

    • I’d suggest Whale having his card details is likely the least of his problems. Whale might have the details, but it is highly unlikely he will use them or release them.

Of greater concern is Labour’s lack of basic data-handling procedures allowed google’s cache to obtain his credit card details. Now, as far as conuits to identity thieves, nigerian fraudsters and other nefarious types go, I’d suggest google is far more worrisome than whale.

That said, there are few things on earth as dangerous as a rogue whale!

  • titanuranus

    Wow,`aint karma a bitch?
The sanctimony over at the NoStandards blog is amazing ,all the chardonnay socialists frothing at the bumhole and fizzing at the mouth, not in a good way.
I doubt Greg is a real lawyer,I mean even a real estate agent can convey property nowadays.
The reality is, that the ideals that the Labour party used to stand for died in the 70s with the moronic Norm Kirk, since then all they have been are tired ol`pseudo commies with a “do as I say not do as I do” attitude.
No standards ,no class,no idea . Ultimate politicians but not good for the country unfortunately.

  • titanuranus

The fuckwit drives a Prius, `nuff said.

    • cadwallader

He’s likely a legal aid whore living off the public teat.

  • clintheine

What sort of lawyer demands a response like that in 7 days?

Amateur doesn’t even describe this idiot. Out of all the lefties on the blogosphere, he is one of the vilest nastiest oxygen thieves. The fact that he is also so open about his views and runs for Labour expecting that the public will vote for him is madness. Keep up the good fight Whale and I would hope that his words will prevent this twat from ever getting into the public trough. (unless he is already in it)

  • hagues

Email full of garbage sent past bedtime… maybe he has the same ‘friends’ as Andrew Williams.

  • alex Masterley

Cam best write to the Auckland branch of the NZLS, as the wellington head office is a bit slow on things.

And yes he does a bit of legal aid but mostly family and civil, it’s all a matter of public record.

    He’s still a pratt.

  • mark72

His firm (Presland & Co, Sunde Building, 208 West Coast Road, Glen Eden) sucked up $158,099.49 of legal aid last year:

  • kehua

The dumb prick still has the same phone number, just had a very very short word with him. Twat.

    • illalwaysrememberportugal

What did you say to him Kehua? :)

  • royaloaks

By God, there are some really weird buggers running around NZ. Imagine him, Mallard, Goofy and Pagini having a conversation. Jesus, Clark/ Cullen certainly left behind a lot of flotsam and garbage.

  • bunswalla

What’s the difference between a disaster and a catastrophe? A disaster is when a boatload of 3,000 lawyer sinks in Waitemata Harbour. A catastrophe is when they can all swim.

  • bunswalla

I actually went and saw this guy once when my mum in Te Atatu needed some help with some legal matters. I asked him how much he charged for legal advice, and he told me $1,000 to answer three questions. I said $1,000 for three questions – don’t you think that’s a bit steep? He said I suppose it is – now what’s your third question?

  • grumpy

Looks like this guy has all sorts of public troughing going on.

Really??? Deputy Chair of the Film and Literature Censorship Board – explains a lot.

Get rid of these evil bastards!

  • mattyman

That man makes me sick. I recommend we send him a email and/or a TXT message(s).

  • That is a very paranoid and narcissistic – it’s all about me – look at me, look at me – letter.

There are 18,000 people’s names on that list, from what i have read. Why is he so worried that he is going to be singled out and suffer from any monetary loss? And if he is so worried, how hard is it to pick up a phone, call your bank, and get a new bloody card issued?

I wonder if he will also hold Labour responsible and seek damages from them – for allowing his details to be accessed?

    What a weirdo.

  • nigel201065

i have a response FUCK OFF

  • lulu

I received that New Zealand Lifestyle Survey 2011 in the mail today.
Absolute disgrace. Unprecedented invasion of privacy masquerading as something legitimate. Sham on NZ Post.
It is set up so that if you filled it in you could get a prize but you would also expose yourself to an endless stream of spam and junk mail. Especially if you signed up for every interest and by every medium. Unless of course you filled it in for someone else.
    Good luck Greg.
