Now wonder we haven't won the World Cup since 1987

Is it any wonder that we haven’t won the world cup since 1987. Rugby has apparently gone g.a.y.

The Rugby Union has stopped kids winning their matches by more than 35 points, saying it makes the game more enjoyable.

But one coach describes the changes as “political correctness gone mad” and says he and other coaches will lobby for the new rule to be dropped.

Under the NZRU’s Small Blacks development programme for children aged 13 and under, coaches from opposing sides can meet at halftime if one side has put on 35 or more points against the other to agree on how they can “generate a more-even contest”.

A score of 100-nil is now posted as 35-nil – the maximum points differential allowed.

If a side wins 90 to 5, the score is recorded as 40 to 5.

A sound thrashing never hurt anyone and a team that follows through and crushes a weak opponent learns the killer instinct. All this policy from the soft cocks currently heading up teh Rugby Union will do is make games finish a whole lot earlier because there is no point going on once you get past 35 points in front.

There is nothing wrong with winning and winning hard out. It is attitudes like this that are handicapping our country. It is ok to call the other team losers, because they are. The losers need to train better and harder otherwise they will just keep on being losers.

In 1987 Buck Shelford sorted out this nut-grabbing Welsh opponent by snotting him in a line out this Welsh joker who had dragged Gary Whetton out of a maul & started belting him around the head and when the Welsh git woke up he also got sent off, while Buck Shelford sauntered back tot eh line out. This is the kind of killer instinct we need to see more of.

We need to nip this sort of nancy boy behaviour in the bud right now and get hard as a country.

I agree, WO. This is the kind of panty-waisted, wishy-washy whiny kind of thing that the Labour party would love to see more of. I wonder if you’d see this kind of thing in Australia? Somehow, I doubt it…… they know how to HTFU over there.

  • whafe

Yep, the pinko’s will be making a law that men must sit down to piss shortly…

Concrete pills for all Pinko’s = HTFU

  • peterwn

Next thing – Labour will say that you will not be allowed to beat Trevor by more than 10 metres in the forthcoming bike race, or that the maximum number of MP’s a party can have in Parliament should be capped at 55.

    Close Whale but no cigar.

The Welsh joker dragged Gary Whetton out of a maul & started belting him around the head so Buck king hit him from the side & knocked him the fuck out.

It looked awesome at the time but in retrospect I reckon Buck was lucky not to get a red card himself.

Brent Anderson obviously votes Lairboar, this has all the hallmarks of a pany waisted, left wing, shirtlifter.
If this is the best the NZRFU has to offer, we can look forward to a long and expensive RWC followed by the sight of the World Cup being carried onto an airplane for it’s journey to a new home.
Wouldn’t be suprised if he has trade union connections as well, the hat seems to fit.

  • mediatart

Of course …. its obvious… Rugby UNION. Which means labour is responsible.

    • gazzaw

Very good tart but ASSOCIATION Football is also akin to labour with its corruption issues and dodgy internal politics.

  • whafe

There is no way in that as long as our asses are pointed to the ground that Richie McCaw would agree with this….

There must be more pillow biters playing rugby than football now….

  • grizz

I have been on both ends of a hiding in my rugby playing days. To lose by 70 points can be gut wrenching. To play the same team later in the season and lose by less than a converted try shows character and was also very satisfying.

I would have thought this would have been a law put out by the English Rugby Football Union, a breeding ground for fine referees like Wayne Barnes. They are all a bit pink up there in Pommy land.

Just the start of corruption isn’t it? How long before sport scores are adjusted like Climate Change – Global Warming results, Election results, all in the interest of ‘what is best’ ?
The children are being controlled and bought up to be little Socialists to hopefully become Teachers, Public Servants and Labour voters. Now the Rugby Union has fallen to the control freaks.
Where are your balls Anderson? What’s that? your mum took them? Your score is zero mate, fucking zero got that? Pink lace panties for you sunshine, shave first ok

to late to nip this nancy shit in the bud whale its been quietly going on for years, 5 years ago my daughter was in the primary school netball team and they didnt keep score at all, and theres NCEA no % pass, just pass or not passed and as phil goof said winners and non winners, its being more inground in into kids physique every day via the education system that winnings not important you only need to participate.

something that made me laugh couple of weekends ago our new neighbours the guy a 23y/o came over to borrow a screwdriver, i thought ya what? a 23y/o male who doesnt own a screwdriver, i was wondering if i shoulda asked him if he knew how to use it, could have played the left hand right hand joke on him easily, i reckon he would have gone back home to check too. :-)

Why do adults think they can fool kids. The kids will still know what the score was, who scored the point and who the best players are. The kids who lost will still know they got a one helluva hiding. Theres no stopping stupid.

  • Graeme Edgeler

How can this be a reason we haven’t won a World Cup since 1987?

We’ve tried your way since 1987 and it hasn’t worked. If we win this year, under the new system we haven’t used before will you eat your words? :-)

    • mediatart

Its reverse logic with a twist, they are changing some thing for kids ( under 8?) now , but the proposed change has caused the previous poor performance for the elite level for previous 20 years, and to top it off its because we had a labour government 3 years ago- who still run the country AND the Rugby union.

Spoiler alert: Kronfeld, who played in both losing 95 and 99 ( France !!) RWC, well remembers playing in games where they were beaten by 50+, so this obviously led him to give up completely once the other team was ahead as an All Black

The first living brain donor mediatart dishes out another round of the runny steamy brown stuff…..

It will come as no surprise that Brent Anderson was a school teacher. He played at lock for Wairarapa-Bush and acted like a meat head.

    • gazzaw

A teacher AND a forward? It’s a wonder he isn’t in an institution..

Speaking of Gay check out this wee piece of fairy dust.
