Roy Morgan's topsy-turvy polls

The lastest Roy Morgan poll is out and it is as Labour’s crippled campaign manager feared, the one before was a rogue.

The latest New Zealand Roy Morgan Poll shows support for Prime Minister John Key’s National-led Government is at 59.5% (up 6% – the biggest lead since January 2011). Support for Key’s National Party is 53% (up 4%), the Maori Party 3% (up 0.5%), ACT NZ 3% (up 1.5%) and United Future 0.5% (unchanged).

Support for Opposition Parties is at 40.5% (down 6%) — Labour Party 30% (down 6%), Greens 7% (up 0.5%), New Zealand First 2.5% (unchanged), Progressive Party 0% (unchanged) and Others 1% (down 0.5%).

If a National Election were held today the National Party would easily be returned to Government.

The previous poll saw Labour rocket up, but that has effectively been struck out.

I claimed that Labour’s rise in the previous poll was because of my promotion of Whale vs. Duck. So to prove a point I have resisted blogging about any progress on the race, plus I have also been hammering away for the past 10 days about Labour’s crippled website and poor data security along with their illegal data harvesting tactics.

Therefore Labour’s poll disaster this week can again be wholly attributed to the Whale Effect.

I would suggest Labour are probably quite happy that they are actually sitting at 30% only down 6% in this poll…..

In reality Labour should be sitting in the 20’s… The media will begin to cotton on to the whole flushing out on Whaleleaks

I don’t get it. Labour poll ratings normally go up when Phil is out of the country.
