About stitch ups

Labour is being silly again accusing National of a stitch up in the Epsom selection. It would be funny if it wasn’t so outrageous that a party with the selection processes of Labour complains about a system where there are a minimum of 60 delegates each with their own mind and their own vote. The only party that has stitch ups for selections is Labour.

Never mind that it appears Labour is doing it’s own stitch up in Epsom by parachuting in David Parker so he can be close to his new partner, whomever that should be this week.

Obviously the new Labour dream team have had a bit of a communications break down and aren’t getting their messaging aligned. Looks like Cunliffe is on the outer as Grant Robertson helps David Parker get the numbers to roll Goff.

They are still prevaricating about whether they roll Goff before the election or after. Nonetheless the counting is happening. Tomorrow I will post on why they should roll Goff now so they can still be relevant in 2014.

  • I know that it’s in Labour’s DNA to try to rewrite history, but how could they forget the stitched-up Mana selection, which happened only TEN months ago tomorrow?

Labour should start an anti MMP campaign to ensure this type of thing doesn’t happen again.

c’mon Cam, be fair, I am sure the nomination of Parker was not given lightly.

Personally I always thought him faintly odious Labour’s vote is fragile, but at least we know nothing’s going to happen eh?

David Parker should go as a list only candidate, it’ll put a massive dent in his chances of becoming Labour leader, which I hope he does.

@NZ Groover, I like your thinking!

Geez….. Labour moaning about “stitch-ups”. They really have **no idea** of what is important to voters.
No campaign plan – nothing. They really are a pathetic, dishonest tax-grabbing rabble.

What happened to the electorate selection meeting ? Who even knew it was on.

Or did they shut the gate early at the Remuera Golf club- a hard place to find at night .

Was there any reports on how the candidates did ??. … no one is daring to say that Goldsmith electrified the voters and won by acclamation. hahha

    • Tart, there can’t be reports about how they did because it is in committee and if you knew anything about the National party instead of spinning shit you would know that.

The date of selection was well known. Actually everyone I have spoken to who attended said that Goldsmith performed much better than everyone else and especially ont eh two questions.

    • The selection meeting was last night. There were three previous selection meetings as required by the rules.

  • Has Trevor “Duck and Weave” Mallard stolen David Parker’s underpants?
