National's most un-trustworthy person – Part 2

This blog continues to take a close look at trustworthiness in the National Party over the next few weeks.

This is because this blog has discovered and learned of some disturbing acts of untrustworthiness inside National over the last 6 months.

In fact, from what I have gathered over this time, it may well be some of the most untrustworthy behaviour seen in the National Party for the better part of 25 years.

What do I mean by untrustworthy?

Well, perhaps a score might be useful to help show the gravity of the situation.

I have come up with the “Whaleoil Un-Trustworthiness Scale” to help readers understand, with 1 being completely trustworthy, and 10 being despicably untrustworthy.

A score of 1 would be someone like John Key. Voters trust John Key. He has compromised the speed of some reforms in order to not break promises, such is the value of trust to him.

Next to John Key as a one on the trustworthy scale is board member, Canterbury Westland Regional Chair and old fashioned gentleman, Roger Bridge.

Thirty six years of loyal service to the party help, but others have been in the party as long as Roger. What sets Roger apart is he has always a kindly word for everyone in the party, and has the courtesy to treat all with dignity and has probably bought them a drink or two as well. More likely more than a drink or two as Roger is a free spender when entertaining.

The only people that don’t like Roger are the buggers muddle and that just reinforces his most trustworthy status.

So who then, would be a ten?

Who would be Mr or Mrs Infinity? Far exceeding even a despicable ten.

Would it be the sort of person who abuses the office they hold within the party?

More to come….

When you say John Key hasn’t broken any promises, do you include the promise not to raise GST?

    • No one is perfect, but Mr or Mrs Infinity has done much worse than that.

  • mediatart

Key is the laziest senior politician we have had in NZ for a while.
AS pointed out above the GST promise is one of many utterances made by rubber lips.

Before the election Key had English sit in on interviews about economic policy as Key would be incoherent or make absurd claims- which still pop up all to common
    ( Christchurch earthquake)

Julai Gillard is reminded daily of her pre election promise of no carbon tax, The Murdoch media dont let her forget it, yet the media here barely mention anything about the unpromised tax cuts , or the great cycleway flop. There is preesure from Keys office to ‘move on’- or else

    • Tart, Key isn’t lazy he’s cowardly. And there are two reasons Gillard is under so much pressure. One is because of the Murdoch press … which doesn’t exist in New Zealand. The other is because there is an opposition pressuring her at every turn, pointing out her craven capitulation to the worshippers of Gaia. In NZ, nobody is pressuring Key over his craven capitulation to those same Gaia-worshippers and to the myth of Maori indigeneity.

Agreed, Gantt Guy. Cowardice is the defining characteristic of the Nats at the moment.
They’ve been too cowardly to really take the axe to “Bludging for Families”. Too cowardly to dismantle the teacher unions. Too cowardly to get rid of the carbon-tax bullshit.
We need someone here like Chris Christie (the governor of New Jersey, iirc). He nailed the stroppy teacher unions over there. Christie would be **outstanding** as a leader here.

        • Agreed, thor. Far too many kiwis need a long, strong drink of HARDEN THE FUCK UP. I consider it nothing short of a tragedy that at a time when New Zealand so desperately needed a Churchill, Christie or Holland we got a Quisling.

  • whafe

mediatart – so expected, you piss & moan, but your Pinko buddies are no better…

There needs to be a mail out of concrete pills to 95% of the NZ Population, so as NZers in general can “Harden the Fuck Up”

I’ll take a stab if its a MP would it be Chris Finlayson?

    • Nope

      • Come on Cameron, Tinkerbell’s gotta be at least an 8. He’s certainly clever enough to be evil and, like all really evil dudes (Soros, Cullen, Swan, Geithner, Schroeder, et. al.) he has that unassuming geeky Alfred E Neuman “What, me evil?” look about him.

  • titanuranus

Murray McCully or that fat cunt Brownlee?

    • Brownlee is probably a 4 on the scale…he is too stupid to be evil and untrustworthy.

McCully would easily be an 8, but he is at least loyal to National, even if he is deeply sneaky.

Ohh ohh do they live in Wanaka – if so we all know who they are so enough of the tease on with the the oil – wha’il

        • Nope, I do wonder though when you will get anything right in your comments, you are starting to sound an awful like Trevor Mallard, except I know you aren’t.

          • ltchop

Ne’er mind – I’ just having a bit of fun guessing …. am sure the poor soul who ever they are have ‘quaking in their boots’ ……………..
