Goff's position is unsustainable

Phil Goff can’t maintain his multiple positions:

Mr Goff says he’s worked with Warren Tucker for a long time, and is not questioning his integrity, but will continue to fight for his own integrity.

Phil Goff is questioning Warren Tucker’s integrity. He, Phil Goff,  is clearly, by continuing to say that he is fighting for his integrity, and denying that he was seen what documents prove he has, smearing the integrity of Warren Tucker. He can’t maintain any of those positions under scrutiny.

Labour seems to think that when they get news that they don’t like they should straight up smear the messenger then attack the civil servant. They can smear me all they like, the simple facts are that Phil goff says he wasn’t briefed and yet official and secret documents show that he was.

Listen to his scripted and stitled lines when he spoke on Mike Hosking’s show on NewstalkZB. The man is simply unbelievable.

Phil Goff spinning like a top

Mike Hosking asks why we should care about this.

We should care because Phil Goff went large on this, he accused a senior civil servant of lying, and when documents proved otherwise he continued to maintain that the senior civil servant is lying. Sure he is using weael words to get around actually calling Warren Tucker a liar but that is exactly what he is doing.

The man has lost it. He should have simply said he “mis-spoke” was mistaken and moved on. By dying in a ditch over his alleged integrity when he has a history of leaking and lying over secret documents is a position that is un-sustainable.

There are other reasons we should care. This is the man who wants to be PM. One of the roles of PM is to supervise the SIS – the PM is the ‘minister in charge’ after all. Here we have a PM wanna-be who cannot remember the content of security briefings, or that they happened, or that he had a query, or that the matter was discussed at length. Is this the man we want responsible for the SIS?

Also, the reason the SIS briefs the Leader of the Opposition is as a control over the Government. Goff says now will not attend briefings unless he has a chaperone. Where is he going to find a chaperone with the necessary security clearance? We have a major security event coming up in about 6 weeks. Is the opposition abdicating their role?

My mother in law is aged. She needs a chaperone when she does anything important, like go to the doctor or lawyer, or the bank etc. She has early onset Alzhiemers and is easily confused and forgets meetings and discussions she has had. Hmm.

It`s quite hard to question Goffs integrity ,when clearly he and any other member of the labour party don`t have any.

The reason we should care is that Goff went large on this issue when it was incorrectly reported in the MSM (Southland Times) and Goff leapt in to score points against Key who addressed the issue rather clumsily.

In hindsight though, Key’s handling of the affair was brilliant as it allowed Goff to put his foot right in it. As a result, Goff can not admit that he was briefed on the matter as that would make his comments on the affair patently ridiculous.

In the ZB interview with Hosking Goff admits to lying. At -2:47 in the recording he says that it wasn’t true that Tucker had “flicked it past him”. Then at -2:01 he says that following the meeting with Tucker he agreed to make the comment that Tucker had “quote, unquote, flicked it past me, did not dwell on it..etc.” He subsequently made that comment, admitting he was mistaken about the briefing i.e. he lied. He now continues to lie by insistng he was never briefed. Staggering.

Geez….. Labour have really outdone themselves with their ability to find utterly untrustworthy leaders.
I wouldn’t trust Goof to do my sausages at a barbeque, let alone run the country.
