Fake and Contrived

I watched literally hours and hours of video of Phil Goff, I listened to hours of audio. I know Phil Goff inside out, I can tell when he is lying, i can tell when he is stumped and I can tell when he is coached.

I only want to see one more thing from Phil Goff, his resignation and exit.

But with all my observations I have come to the conclusion that Phil Goff is actually nothing more than a conjurers trick. Everything is done for effect, a story manufactured around that effect. That was why we saw his lies over the SIS briefing, his posing with a shovel in shiny shoes on a beach, made up claims over Police numbers. It is all a manufactured contrivance to appear to be something he is not.

Take yesterday. Stuff has this photo and has put a caption saying that he is voting at Wesley Intermediate in Mt Roskill. It is certainly true that he is voting at Wesley Intermediate but the real story is that he is there simply for the photo opportunity of voting in Mt Roskill electorate. you see Phil Goff is making a special vote. He isn’t voting for himself, because he lives in Hunua electorate, he is probably voting for Richard Hills the Labour candidate in Hunua electorate.

The photo is a contrivance to give the illusion he is voting in his electorate. It says a great deal about the man. This is why Labour tanked so badly. Their leader was the human equivalent of a Potemkin Village. All appearances and no depth, all rehearsed sound bites with all their awkwardness with the real Phil Goff suppressed and hidden. Unfortunately the face and the voice didn’t fit that which can’t be seen clearly but is detected in the subliminal. Phil Goff is a fake.

In contrast John Key walked around the corner from his house in Epsom electorate and cast his vote in Epsom electorate. No contrivance, no illusion. Despite what the leftwing commentators andblogs say, people see reality with John key. They identify with him and his aspirations and they reject Phil Goff and his contrived illusionary facade.

This is why John Key spanked Labour in the election on Saturday.
