Why replicate the services of the private sector?

Why are the Greens seeking to replicate a perfectly adequate, low risk solution provided by the private sector?

Adding to the default KiwiSaver providers offering conservative funds with a single government fund is nuts.

Let the private sector manage peoples funds. Don’t bother setting up a new government department or expanding an existing one to shut down a service provided by private enterprise.

The hoary old chestnut that we need a New Zealand state owned provider is crazy talk when the government already has a massive super fund that is professionally managed.

Let the private companies work KiwiSaver, and stop the state competing with the private sector in markets that the state is ill equipped to understand.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
