You need a third option – like Meh, I don’t care.

Calling for someone’s job is a big call.  It’s what Labour people do all the time, eh Cam ;)

Bob did a great job during the earthquake recovery keeping New Zealand informed but it appears his glory days are limited to being on screen. His own crisis is staring at him in the face yet he walks away and goes on holiday.

Yes he should resign but could stand again in new elections. The air needs clearing totally.

Ch’ch has always had LB issues but it never concerned me as they only affected Ch’ch ratepayers. However, massive amounts of taxpayers’ funds are now being poured into Ch’ch
and we need total transparency into where and how those funds are spent & utilised. The old boys networking must go. In the event of  the election of a new council it must be put on notice that any hint of nepotism, deals for the boys or corruption will be met with immediate disbandment and commissioners appointed.

Given that the choice is probably between Kinda Left Wing with a Trougher Wife, and Massively Batshit Stinking Crazy Somewhere to the Left of Pol Pot Left Wing, we are probably better off with Bob.

Is Penny Bright running for LBE in Canterbury?

Go Lianne, Jim and Brendan – you are doing a great job.
Stir up pure frustration as Christchurch, built over 100 years on sand, approved by all previous Councils, will take many years to recreate something, but not the city they believe they can achieve.
Remember “follow the money”. It’s there in plenty from New Zealand Taxpayers (EQC and Government special deals), Insurers and their International Insurers (Reinsurers)  but how it is to be spent is another problem for each and every Christchurch person to take their own responsibility. Nobody owes anybody a living.
I want – is all appropriate currently in Christchurch –  I am owed – mentality appears to be the main point of human frustration.
Their frustration sadly will increase, but until the earth stops shaking, which is actually beyond the Council’s capability, although it is their fault the earth ruptured, delays will continue.

When Bob goes does that mean Morticia Adams goes too.

  • What is the real story?

Mayor Bob could not lie straight in bed – look at the latest
    from the NZ Herald http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10782898

Now he is apparently going to Asia to thank the many
organisations that helped with search and rescue after the earthquake –
YESTERDAY he was going to drum up new business for Christchurch Airport

Parker makes a monkey out of Dr Nick Smith with this
“progress to be made to amend the council’s issues over the next few weeks are
unrealistic” – “I’m dealing with the real world. I’ve got work to do, a city to
rebuild and a council to pull together and that’s where our focus is.”

Oh please Mayor Parker stick to the story – if that was your
honest intention what the hell are you doing floating around Asia on a PR junket
    with your wife?..
