Whitney Houston is Dead

Whitney Houston is dead, aged 48:

Whitney Houston, who ruled as pop music’s queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behaviour and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died. She was 48.

Publicist Kristen Foster said on Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unknown.

News of Houston’s death came on the eve of music’s biggest night – the Grammy Awards. It’s a showcase where she once reigned, and her death was sure to cast a heavy pall on Sunday’s ceremony. Houston’s longtime mentor Clive Davis was to hold his annual concert and dinner Saturday; it was unclear if it was going to go forward.

Can anyone really claim to be surprised?

Fuck me – Bobby Brown was the responsible one?

    • Mully

       And lived the longest…

  • Boss Hogg

And Phil will continue to tell us about the virtues of drug use…………..

Hang Dealers and importers/manufacturers – and that should just be a start.

    •  why do you keep calling for the execution of the pushers of the drugs that kill the most..?..there..stacy hoggard/aks boss hog..?

      ..the booze/tobacco-merchants..?

..have you been living in singapore too long..

..enjoying the ‘frisson’ of regular state executions..?

Phil, you keep spelling my name wrong.

As I have said elseware, Booze and Cigs are not Meth or Cocaine.  Shall we agree to disagree?

You know the bad effects of P as do I, but mine is not from personal use.

    Where was the bodyguard?

The singer of one of the worst songs ever.

    • jay cee

and one of the most memorable. R I P whitney.

    • Boss Hogg

Thor, you may not like that song – but the voice.  Few, if any, peers.  Not my type of music either, but appreciate the quality.

      •  a correction to yr previous comment..hogg..

        ..i have never used ‘p’..eh..?

..a bit of a drug snob..

..it is called the poor-mans’ cocaine..

    • Michael

Yeah, I prefer the more understated Dolly Parton version. But her soul/pop songs like “I wanna dance with somebody” were so catchy.

I was a big fan in the eighties and nineties and just think it is so sad that she has left us so young. I feel sorry for the children, imagine being brought up by a dropkick like Bobby Brown. It all turned to custard for her once she met that tool!

    • close/intimate with the family there..are ya..?

..and am i talking to steve..or monique..?

ManUre, its understandable that as a cuckold, you hate happy partners like Steve & Monique, you all alone with your fracked genes.

      • Gazzaw

You really are an objectionable fucker Ure. I was a bit ambivalent last week about whether WO should let you continue to access this site but I’m thinking that I and many others would like him to tell you to fuck off.

  • i still think the funniest thing said about the overwrought-warblings of the houston..

..(a benchmark/standard of ‘bad music’ for so many..

..is that one of the seven circles of hell..

..is an eternity forced to listen to duets by her and michael bolton..

..and yeah..!..that crack-cocaine is the most powerful/scary/addictive drug i ever used…(for three months..then i ran for the hills..but whoar..!..it is a totally different stone to just cocaine…and you just can’t/don’t want to stop..you just want to ride that rocket..again..and again…truly scary stuff..)

..i can kinda understand the hell she went thru..

..and to be honest..i will miss etta james more..

You didn’t run for the hills. You robbed a pharmacy, traumatising the staff. At least she didn’t ruin other people’s lives because of her habit – a pity she ruined her own.

And least Whitney was successful at some stage in her life. You’ve done nothing.

Phil. When you stop and think about your last post, you may wish to not add to the already low opinion some have of you on here.If you were a crack head, then letting those on this site know,is brave ,but also opening up yourself for more flack..Regards Steve

    •  that’s all right steve..

..i feel it is more important to issue that warning against even thinking of trying…

..with perhaps that warning having more credibilty/gravitas than the usual anti-drug propaganda..

      ..’cos i’ve ‘been there’…

      ..just saying..!

Fair enough.Good on ya for putting that out there. S

  • Kosh103

    Wow. Poor woman. RIP Whitney.

  • Came in late to this but can’t stop thinkin’ the age old argument of legal versus non-legal mood enhancing chemicals. Heroin and cocaine used  to be over the counter products made illegal and sent underground where criminals now dominate the sale, no quality control and massive cost to try and eradicate the criminal adtivity. Tobacco and alcohol – alcohol they tried to prohibit and sent it straight into criminals hands so re-legalised and taxed wouldn’t the tax dollar be better spent legalising and policing only quality and receiving the huge GST bonus as tax income be a better solution? Let the free market determine…..? They’re already making shit loads from taxing tobacco – as a prime example of the benefits government is missing out on.

When you sleep with scum like Bobby Brown you are going to catch fleas, unfortunate for WH

then where is your dog collar

  • nzd.gbp

Or, as found on fark.com –  “Whitney Houston beats Bobby Brown to death”

  • Brian Smaller

Whitney Who? – just another dead junkie so I don’t give a crap.

    • Dutchmoore1

      your mama bitch

  • Ploughman

Tragedy.  She had a wonderful voice, and a beautiful body.  Ruined by drugs and a dissolute lifestyle.
..  But at least she didn’t …. write like this ……. and expect everyone to give her money from taxation …..

  • Guestosterone

    houston, we have a problem…
