Roy Morgan Poll

 Roy Morgan

Today’s New Zealand Roy Morgan Poll shows increasing strong support for Prime Minister John Key’s National Party 48.5% (up 3% since February 27-March 11, 2012). Support for Key’s Coalition partners has changed little with the Maori Party 1% (down 0.5%), ACT NZ 0.5% (unchanged), and United Future 0.5% (unchanged).

Support for Labour has fallen 1.5% to 30%, Greens 12.5% (down 0.5%), New Zealand First 5% (unchanged), Mana Party 0.5% (down 0.5%) and Others 1.5% (unchanged).

If a National Election were held today the National Party would be returned to Government.

Excellent news. Despite all the so called left whingers generating so much negative publicity, National has increased their share. Time for Labour to start panicking and plot against their do nothing sitting on your backside leader

  • Super_Guest

Labour’s internal polling shows them with a 22 point lead, with a 100% performing well rating for David Shearer.

    • Cullen’s Sidekick

David Shearer is a sure winner!!!!!!!!!!!!! (for National)

  • Blair Mulholland

    Dear NZ Left,

Despite your bitching about asset sales and welfare reform, please continue to suck our balls.

    Sincerely,
All of us on the Right.  :-)

    • Philip ure a cock

      Suuuuuuuuuuck ma balls

  • Johno1234

Please no. Let them keep him until a month before the election, only to be replaced by a rabid Stalinist unionist.

  • Doug

Duncan Garner will have to try harder he must be upset with this Poll.

    • Gazzaw

No way TV One or TV3 will mention this tonight unless they headline it by spinning it that Labour is showing a ‘significant’ gain since election night.

    • Philip ure a cock

The prick didn’t publish my comment on his blog. He is a big red fag hag and NZ journalism is an orgy of mediocrity

  • Boss Hogg

WTF???   NZ First still at 5%.  What do these nutters have to see and hear to get them to wake the hell up.  I am speechless………………arrrrrggghhhhhhhh!!!!

  • Whalehunter

Great and if they had the moral fortitude to stand up to the separatists of this country they would be poling at about….lets see…85%!!

National is doing a great job aren’t they. However, the thing that truly strikes me out of character policy wise and from a moral stand point of where i feel National should be at this point is their bowing down to the racist minority that is the maori party.  National appears to have made the coalition with these separatists for unexplained reasons – how many of the people that voted national would vote for them to form such a coalition?? So far it has caused them trouble with the asset sales thing and due to coalition promises it must cost national significant chunks of budget money to appease them. Surely they would rather have them in opposition – although studies have shown that small parties that for coalitions to get into government get swallowed up so maybe that is Key’s cunning plan….we can only hope.

    • Adolf Fiinkensein

If that’s what you call trouble then let’s have more of it.  Sensible people see it simply as the normal life of a coalition government.  The Maori Party actually is quite sane and very much mainstream.

You wanna try working with Harawira, Delahunty and Peters?

      • Whalehunter

The maori party and its members mainstream?? “Sensible” people see a fairly right wing party forming a coalition with the maori party normal?? The maori party is not mainstream, the very nature of its existence is racist and seperatist i.e. they are there with the only objective of getting what they can for their own race and no other. How many ethnic groups have we got in NZ?? What would happen if all these groups wanted to form their own political parties too. They would be the ones labelled racist that’s what. Mainstream???

  • johnbronkhorst

any word on the mandate front??? You know all those that say they don’t have a mandate!! Perhaps they are confusing it with Darren Hughes attempt to get a man date?

    • Adolf Fiinkensein

He’s just got one – in the UK, I believe.

Notice all the lefties that trumpeted helen & co when the polls went up, and when labour rose “SLIGHTLY” recently said “LOOK at the polls we’re gaining. Now they are saying the polls are rigged because they are slipping back. Funny thing is these are the same polsters that did the last poll!!!

    • Cadwallader

Agree! Not a whiff of this poll embarrassment over at the Stranded.

  • Jadis

You mean to say Shearer isn’t the great saviour of Labour?  wasn’t he meant to be an instant fix?

  • Dr Wang

Has Shearer caught up with Helyn Clark yet – as the leftie preference for Prime Minister?

  • thor42

    Great news!
If there is one thing that Key and co should be doing more of, it is keeping the welfare reforms in the news. I have no doubt that these reforms are **massively** popular.
They are good, simple common-sense – if you can work, you should, whether you get the dole, DPB or sickness benefit.
The more that the reforms are mentioned, the more that the Nats should get a warm glow from the polls.

    • Jacob77712

That already happens. Thank GOD FOR JOHN BANKS AND KIM DOTCOM.

  • Gazzaw

As predicted nothing on TV One.

  • Cullen’s Sidekick

How come there is no Colmar-Brunton poll on TV One for a long time?

    • Agent BallSack

      The results neuter the headlines

  • nzd.gbp

See the dompost headline? “National makes gains on Labour”. Interesting way of putting it.

So we can relax now. National is gaining on Labour.

    • Jacob77712

Thank god for good times right guys

    • Jacob77712
