Dimpost on Cosgrove

Danyl McLauchlan is a good blogger, he will call things straight, he is what I call an honourable lefty…plus his satire when he unleashes it is bloody funny. However he is deadly serious on the Cosgrove Affair:

Here’s the problem: While Clayton Cosgrove knows his own soul and is confident he did nothing wrong, there’s no way for the public to discern between an honest MP who drafts a bill in good faith and just happens to receive a very large donation from a company which benefits from it, and a corrupt MP who takes a payment from a company for drafting a bill. Which is why MPs usually go out of their way to avoid this kind of confusion, and declare conflicts of interests when intersections of money, friendship and legislation pop up.

Labour (rightly) demanded that Nick Smith stop[sic] down over the ACC affair, and that John Banks step down over the Sky City donations: I don’t see how they can keep Cosgrove on the front bench.

They will keep Cosgrove on their so called front bench. After all they kept quiet about the buggering claims of Darren Hughes in Annette Kings house in Haitaitai, aided and abetted by Phil Goff for many weeks ,until they were outed by the claims of a naked student seen fleeing from his alleged “friend”.Buggering by politicians as alleged to be,  is just as rife, as alleged, by ministers of religion,or scoutmasters ,or Sallyanns.or reform schools ,or prisons,in fact all walks of life.

It was all a big misunderstanding with Hughesy – he only invited the young boy back for a couple gingernuts, a cuppa and a friendly chat naked…

Couple of comments here!!! 1 Nick smith ….wrote a letter on behalf of a friend….NOT change the law to benefit one. 2. John Banks…no PROOF he did ANYTHING illegal here, there was NO conconsiquential gain for sky city or kim dot comm. Cosgrove however, IS linked to a LAW CHANGE that benefited a FRIEND and substantial doner!!! Here in lies the difference, Danyl McLauchlan can SAY they are the same and as bad as each other….BUT and it’s a BIG but…there is absolutely NO similarity in the 2 / 3 cases.

Watch out for my uncle Sheep Shearer to show Kiwis how Clay Grove deserves a different treatment to Nick Smith. Shearer rocks!

Hear Darren Ginga has been seen in Wellington
Presumably going back on Labour List again – the Labour MPs still love him (literally).

Maybe Robertson is simply into ginga sausages.

Cosgrove is so thick he’s almost the “amiable dunce” of the Labour party. Problem is he’s too stupid to realise what he’s done or, the irony of the situation.

We all know that the Liarbour party are the do as we say not as we do party.   They will not bat an eyelid over this back room deals and buying favour is normal behaviour.    Where are the Watermelons calling for an inquiry?
